A baby's crib lay in the centre of the room. Above it, a mobile hung down with clouds and stars that gently swayed.
The room looked and smelt like vanilla. A large leather winged chair sat in the corner which brought an element of comfort into the room. Potted plants took over most of the windowsill but the sun still cascaded down through the beams of the crib and onto the fluffy elephant that lay inside.
"Do you recognise this room? From the vision?" Klaus spoke softly, appearing behind her.
He reached down, into the crib and grasped the elephant. He pulled on the tag, beside it's trunk, to read what was scribbled on the back. 'Anna'
"Anna the elephant" They both smiled.
"No. Anna, my baby" Angela teared up, opening the door to look at Raven.
"You called me Anna?" Raven sobbed lightly.
"I did, your father liked it. Anastasia Cromwell. Anna for short" Raven's mother smiled wrapping her daughter into a large hug.
"Raven Anastasia. That has quite a ring to it" Klaus chuckled fondly.
"The vegetables Mum" Raven reminded, causing her mother to gasp as she ran down the stairs laughing, indicating she had forgotten all about them.
"Where would you like this?" Klaus asked, patting the dumped suitcases on the landing.
"In here, I guess" Raven replied, pushing open the other door on the left.
The room was gorgeous, with a dark oak accent wall. A grand double bed pressed against it, draped with black silk sheets. A small wooden bedside cabinet sat to the left, balancing a pale brown reading lamp on top.
"Well, looks like you have a better sleeping area than I do" Klaus raised his eyebrows, placing Raven's luggage by the window.
"What's wrong? Did the Klaus Mikaelson book a shitty hotel room?" Raven teased.
"The hotel room was lovely actually, but I'm not staying there anymore" Klaus admitted.
"Then, where are you staying?" Raven asked cluelessly.
"Downstairs. On the couch, in the garden or maybe curled up in the rug. All I know is, I'm not leaving this house, especially, if you're not coming with me" he shrugged.
Raven folded her arms confidently "I can handle myself"
"I'm not just protecting you" Klaus shook his head "Your mother doesn't practice magic anymore and we've disrupted her peace, meaning we could bring danger to her door. 2 hybrids are better than 1" he highlighted.
"How do you know she doesn't practice?" Raven inquired.
"I know a retired witch when I see one. No spell books, no herbs, hardly any candles and I haven't seen an altar. Plus, I could compel her, remember?" he responded.
"Fine, have fun sleeping with the gnomes outside" Raven shrugged, collapsing onto her huge, luxurious bed.
As the sun began to set, Raven, Angela and Klaus all sat around the dining table sharing stories. Some were happy and heart-warming, whilst others carried a more serious and distressing tone. But overall, the chat made everyone extremely sleepy so they decided to say their goodnights.
Raven retreated back to her room, slipped into bed and called Caroline. The two gossiped and laughed for a good few minutes until Raven received a incoming call from Damon. He and Stefan were eager to hear all about Raven's mother.
As she began to tell them about her day, Klaus poked his head around the door.
Raven smiled and beckoned him in before returning to the call "Hey, I'm feeling a little tired and overwhelmed from today, can I call you guys tomorrow?"
