Freddie woke up to the sun beaming on his face, looking out the window still not standing up from his bed. "Prince Freddie, your breakfast in bed has arrived" Limwel knocked, "Bring it in" Freddie said, the helpers rolled his breakfast in his room and beside his bed, "Thank you" he thanked the staff, they bowed then left including Limwel.
Freddie was just eating his breakfast while looking out his window to see the people beyond the gates, kids playing together, couples walking around while hand in hand, and workers.

Thinking he would've given anything to just have a normal life, live his teenage years the fullest.

After eating, he showered and changed into a white long-sleeved polo, dark blue blazer, suit shoes, and suit pants.

Freddie's pov

Oh shoot! I forgot what time I have to be at Sam's apartment. I should text her..

Oh-.. I guess anytime she said, alright. I guess now maybe I'll practice how I'll greet her since that's what guys do when they prepare going to a girl's place right? Maybe I'm overthinking this, I mean I've been there before without Carly..
What's the worst that could happen even if I practice? Yeah I should practice in the mirror.

"Hey blondie, ready for our hangout? *snaps fingers and finger guns*" Oh God no! That's like what a guy from the 1960's would sound like, um.. how about this? "What's up Puckett?" hmm.. maybe? But I sound like I'm an F boy if that's the right term, um.. "Bonjour Samantha Pucke-" Nahh, what am I? French? I'm trying too hard, "Hello my fellow human" Oh sheesh my Galaxy Wars personality just came out for a sec. "Hey cutie..." wait what?! No not that! She'll punch me to death if I told her that!

Before I could open my mouth and say another greeting infront of my mirror again, I heard my mother knocking and walking in my room. "Son, apologies for bothering you, but you may need to change into your military uniform" she said, "Hm? Why?" I asked, it's not a royal ball or anything formal like a wedding, and my "wedding" isn't for a long time still. "We'll be confirming the announcement of your engagement with Princess Carlotta and will be announcing how we will be combining our Kingdoms" she implied, I just nod. I love my mother but sometimes I just want to love someone I really love not someone I'm betrothed to for the sake of the kingdom.

"Yes mother" I say, she walks out.

-Meanwhile with Sam-

Sam was walking around the kingdom with Wendy, "Did you know that Prince Fredward and Princess Carlotta are betrothed?" Wendy asked, "Yeah, I also heard they were gonna announce it today" Sam nods, they were heading to the palace for the announcement. Most of the people are already there to wait for the royals, they saw Cat and Tori waiting infront of the palace outside the gates "I sometimes wonder about how it feels like to have royal blood.." Tori said to Cat, the redhead girl nods in response and agreement. "Hey guys!" Sam greeted them, "Heyy" Cat and Tori greeted Sam and Wendy. They all heard cheering and saw the palace balcony open, "Prince Fredward looks so dreamy with his military uniform!" a random girl implied, they all clapped.

Carly's pov

I look at the people who are below us and it's so overwhelming, if only they knew what was going behind closed doors. My father was right beside me at my left while Freddie was at my right, his mother at his right. We were all waving, I then saw Freddie's eyes wandering quick but discreetly.. I know who he's looking for. "North, back of the crowd infront of middle gate" I whispered to him, he looked to where I said and he smiled and kept waving.

The announcement is about to start, Queen Marissa starts to talk. "Goodafternoon royal subjects, thank you for being here today. As you all may know, that I certainly am not getting any younger, my one and only son Prince Fredward Karl Benson is the rightful heir to the throne. Although, every king needs a queen, so.. we are very happy to announce his engagement to his betrothed wife Princess Carlotta Shay from the Kingdom of Sirene. Our kingdoms will be merging together as one, though that still is not set in stone so don't get your hopes up" she said, while introducing Carly.

Carly waved and walked infront of the mic now, "Hello, I'm very fortunate that I have had this oportunity and as much as I know that you all are ecstatic for the royal wedding, I will still be trying to keep the duration of engagement longer so that the Prince and I will get to know each other better before the marriage itself" she lied about some parts, she's just trying to delay a little longer so that they'll find more dirt in the family, It was Freddie's turn to speak.

He stepped on the small podium for the mic, "Hello Kingdom of Bushwell, as an upcoming heir to the throne, I can promise you that I will be a good king alongside Princess Carlotta. We sure will be delaying the wedding for a short period of more times to interact more together and get to know each other better" Freddie stepped off the podium, the people cheered, Sam just clapped. The royals wave and walk back inside the palace and the balcony door closes.
