My name is Akou, and I have a story to tell. My story starts here.
May 2, 1978. I was born into a family known as the Sheis. I didn't know it at the time, but all I could consume was coffee and human flesh. By the time I was 7 I started to consume human flesh consistently, although I didn't want too, I had too. "Dad! Please!! I don't want it!" "You'll starve if you don't eat it! Besides, you're a ghoul! You're suppose to want flesh!" "I do but it's not right just to kill another species for such a useless meaning like food!" My father slapped me, leaving a red mark on my cheek. I ran out of the house, and I didn't plan on returning. I heard about this place called Anteiku, at the 20th ward. I heard they give you food and coffee if you can't hunt or don't want to for yourself, so I decided to go there. I opened the door and everyone looked over to me. "Can we help you?" "U-Um...." "What is it?" "I.. Don't know what to say..." "Well, ordering would be a nice start." "B-But..." "He's a Ghoul." One of the waiters said. "He can't order anything." "T-That's right! I came here because... I thought you could help me.. I can't hunt for myself..." "Come with me." One of the waitresses took me to the manager. "What is it?" "This little boy here can't hunt for himself. Can he stay with us?" "Sure. Give him a room. Does he have a family with him?" I shook my head no and the waitress told the manager. "What is your name?" "Akou Shei..." "How old are you?" "S-Seven years old.." "Okay, get him a room." And that's where it all started. This is my story.
