Evie pov:
"He is such a drama queen," I said to the others while we made our way to the dungeons for potions.
"If he just knew how to listen he would not have gotten hurt" Hermione finished for me.
"Exactly Mione" the boys just silently agreed. Once we made our way into the potions classroom, I sat down next to Hermione and Fred.
Two minutes later Snape came in the door and everyone who was talking immediately stopped. He started to explain a potion that we all had two hours to brew and let us start at once.
I sat there not really paying attention to what I was doing. I was really good at potions and knew the book by heart by now. I could hear Hermione constantly telling Ron and Harry how they needed to pay attention, and the twins arguing about what the next step was.
I was one of the ones who finished first, and to mine and everybody's shock, Snape could find one thing to pick on.
Me being quite happy about my own efforts I made my way to the great hall for lunch. The others following behind.
The rest of the classes went by with nothing exciting happening. After dinner, we made our way back to the common room to relax before heading to bed.
After sitting in the common room talking an owl flew in and dropped a letter in my lap before taking off again.
"Come to my office tonight at 10 pm. From Dumbledore." That was all it stood in the letter. I saw that I only had five minutes to get there. So I excused myself and left for the headmaster's office.
I said the password and entered the office.
"Ahhh, Miss. Scamander, nice of you to take the time to see me" He said with a nice smile.
"Well nobody says no to the headmaster," I said a little awkwardly.
"I just wanted to see how you are doing. Both on making friends and controlling your emotions." I sat down in one of the chairs in front of his desk and started telling.
"Well, I think I'm doing okay on getting friends. And when it comes to controlling emotions and my powers I am doing really great." I said calmly.
He looked at me and said in a happy tone "That is very good. I, unfortunately, have some other news I need to ask you to attend to if you would like." He said the last part in a bit more serious tone.
"And what would this matter be?" I said with a questioning look on my face.
"After the hippogriff incident earlier today I am afraid that Mr. Malfoy told his father his side of the story, and now Buckbeak, Hagrid, and I will have to go to a hearing in two weeks to see the future of the hippogriff," He said with a sad tone.
"I'm sorry to hear that. I still don't understand where I am needed here" I said feeling rather stupid.
"I would like for your assistance at the hearing where you tell your side of the story, and maybe with your help, we can find a way to ensure the hippogriffs' life"
"I would love to help save an innocent animal," I said with a stern voice. The headmaster smiled at me again
"You remind me a lot of your brother," He said with the same happy tone as he had earlier.
"Thank you, he is the person that made me like animals so much," I said as a tear escaped.
"I really miss him. I wish I knew where he was" I said with a sad tone.
"I believe that wherever he is he will be really proud of the person you have become, as well as your parents"
"I hope so," I said as I wiped away one last tear. "Good night, professor," I said, getting up from my chair.
"Good night Miss. Scamander," He said back cheerily.
As I walked back to the common room I could see that everybody was still sitting there talking. I plopped down next to Fred and leaned on his shoulder. As we kept talking I could feel myself getting sleepier and sleepier until I finally gave in and fell asleep.
Hermione pov:
I have no clue how the boys managed to talk about nonsense for so long. I was just reading as I saw Evie slowly falling asleep leaning on Fred. They look super cute together and I hope they end up together.
After she had fallen fully asleep I said something after neglecting the conversation. "Did she actually just fall asleep?" I said as I saw Fred looking down at her with a smile and a small blush.
"Looks like it. I'll head to bed as well and I'll take her to her bed" Fred said looking equally as tired.
He gently picked her up in bridal style and I saw her snuggling more into him. After they were gone I turned to the others.
"I swear if they don't end up together I'm going to hex the one she chooses instead," I said dead serious.
"I'll join you there," George said back to me before he continued "I swear he really likes her. Every time she is not here he talks about her. And somehow it doesn't annoy me, but I think that's just because I think she could be good for him"
After that, we all just nodded in agreement before one after one headed out to sleep.
