Chapter eighteen: A lovely surprise

I ran back to our dorm and saw that the twins were there as well. I slammed the door shut and started pacing around the room

"Okay Evie, you need to relax. You're going to make us dizzy. What is wrong'' George asked.

I took a deep breath. "I know what the first task is" They didn't say anything motioning for me to continue

"I saw your brother Charlie and Hagrid walking to the forest so I followed them and saw three dragons. And not just any dragons, the most vicious ones there are" I saw them get a little pale which did not help me at all. So I started pacing again

"Evie, stop pacing you are making us dizzy. Just relax'' Fred tried to say relaxing. I took three deep breaths

"Okay sorry, it's just that we need a plan and the task is in three days"

"C'mone we will go eat dinner and then we can make a plan tomorrow, fine?" George asked a little scared that I might hex him.

"Fine" was all I said before we went down to eat.

"Could Evie Scamander please stand up?" Dumbledore said suddenly.

I looked to the twins and the others who looked just as confused as me. I stood up slowly and waited to see what would happen.

"Do you remember the thing you asked Remus at the start of term?" I nodded slowly, still not sure what was happening. "Well I did what I could''

And with that he flicked his wand and the doors to the hall opened revealing a gang of ten boys. At first I did not know what to believe I just stood there and suddenly I got scared because they were running my way.

Before I could do anything I was tackled to the ground by my muggle friends.

"Ow'' I said after landing on my back.

"Sorry" they said as they helped me up and took me in a group hug. "We just missed our girl like crazy" I laughed at them and told them I missed them too.

"Too all of you wondering who these people are, they are the people Miss. Scamander went to school with before starting here" Dumbledore explained to the others.

I showed them to the Gryffindor table and we sat down next to my other friends. "Did dad explain everything to you guys?" They nodded and told me how awesome it was.

We just sat there talking and I tried to make sure nobody murdered each other. Somehow they managed to become somewhat friendly. To say the least, that was all I wanted today.

I knew that my muggle friends wanted to keep me safe, and so did my new friends. But they both thought that the other could not do that.

"This place is bloody awesome you know that '' Theo said sitting beside me.

"Of course I know that dumbass," I said, shaking my head.

"I swear, when you father, or adoptive father told us what you could do, to say that we didn't believe him would be getting started. Then he showed us what he could do and well when he said we could stay here for the rest of the year and see you compete in three deadly tasks. While we are not happy that you might die even though we know you, we took the chance."

"Well I'm glad you dumbasses are here" I said smiling towards my friends.

Harry pov:

After she was tackled by her muggle friends and we had talked for a while, I noticed that they were really protective over her, and they really did not want her to get hurt. I was glad to see that before she got here she had other people who could take care of her.

But still a little mad that they thought that we could not make sure she was fine. I noticed that the twins had the same thought as me.

Considering the fact that they always make pranks together and share a dorm they have their own little club, and for the fact that Fred likes her, and he would never let anything happen to her.

After dinner Fred and George told me about the first task and how stressed she had been, and that it was probably a good thing that they got here cause they made her think about other things then the first task, even though we did not really like them.

We gave the guys a tour of the school and showed them where they would sleep before the rest of us headed to bed. Before we all left the common room, Evie turned to us

"Thank for not avada kavadraeing them" She said laughing before going to bed.

"Well if they keep calling you Their girl we might do it. She is our girl now" The twins said, making the rest of us laugh.
