CHAPTER TWENTY

I'm surprised to see security guards around the premises, Klaus has never been the kind to keep security guards.

"Why all these guards?"

"Klaus made these developments the moment Kyle was brought home"

"But why ?" I ask confused

"He's a billionaire honey, and their children, especially their sons are always targets. The heir is always the biggest threat to the enemy"

"Wait!, Is my son's life in danger?"

"I did not say that Hazel, I was only trying to explain why Klaus' yard is packed with security guards"

"Oh..." Is all I can say. As we drive in further were stopped by a security guard but the moment he sees Wendy, he lets us through. She parks in the driveway and turns off the car engine.

"You take it from here"

"Huh?"

"You go in there and make things right with Klaus and also apologize to Kyle for not seeing him until now"

"Why aren't you coming in?"

"Why on Earth should I do that?, I don't want to get caught up in you lovers reunion and I know the two of you are going to cry . I don't want to witness that"

"You're a clown, you know that right?"

"Yes I do and lest I remind you, Kyle is just a few months old, no matter how you guys do it, try not to conceive just yet please"
She says naughtily and I smack her head hard.

"What was that for?" She asks with a frown as she rubs the spot.

"And I thought Blake was the one teaching you how to talk dirty, now I realize it's actually in your DNA"

"You still can't survive without me"

"Go away" I say as I open the car door and step out.

"Drive safely honey, I love you"

"I love you more"
And I know she does. She reverses the car and drives out of the compound while I take calculated steps towards the door. My heart starts hammering against my chest and I try very hard not trip as I walk because my legs are already shaky out of nervousness. I don't even know how I'm going to start apologizing to Klaus for all what I've put him through.

What if he's fed up with me and doesn't want me anymore?

What if he throws me out and never lets me see my son again?

No, my Klaus will never do that to me. He loves me dearly and I believe that he will forgive and I promise that if he does, I will do everything in my power to be the best mother and wife in the universe. I will love him unconditionally and take care of him like no other, together with our baby.

All I ask is for second chance.

I step on the porch and ring the doorbell and moments later, the door is opened by a no nonsense looking middle aged woman. She stares at me blankly from head to toe probably wondering who I am and what I'm doing at her master's house at this time.

"Can I help you?" She asks with a serious a serious tone.

"Um...please is Klaus at home?"

"And you are?" She asks rudely.

What the hell!

"Hazel, the mother of his son" I say putting on a no nonsense look.

"You're Kyle's mother?" She asks surprised.
