Do not fear Death. All your life you have. Most of us have.

There's nothing unusual in this. Death is the end of this world and the beginning of the next. Whether you die honourably or dishonorably doesn't matter, we've all got to go sometime, and Death, my oldest friend, will make sure it isn't all that bad an experience.

You see, at the end of things, Death is all you really have.

He knows this, you know this, and I know this. We can live, and have our entire lives erased in minutes by a solar flare, or a volcano, or a nuclear war.

If you're particularly lonely, all memory of you can be erased with a noose and a bottle of liquor, but Death... Death will remember you.

Death will coddle you out of this world, and while you are with him, will bring you calmness. Warmth. Death will calm you, love you, prepare you. Death will give you the most pleasure a soul can feel.

But Death doesn't have you forever. Death is very busy. Though Death can have you for a very long, pleasant time, everybody has to move on.

Death doesn't make the journey comforting because he has to, or because he loves you. Death gives you comfort because he pities you.

Do not fear Death. Fear what comes after it.
