Electrocution

Electrocution.

Thats what the psychic had said.

Ralph had not believed her. But then a series of electrical accidents he barely escaped made him change his mind. Yes, she was always right. And she said that Ralph would get electrocuted.

Ralph took no chances. He switched off all the electrical appliances around himself and sat in the corner of his bedroom alone. He HAD to protect himself! He wasnt ready to die!

His wife said that it was madness. She came in and switched the lights on. "No!" he yelled "you'll kill me". But she wouldnt listen. She didnt believe. But Ralph knew better. He would die if he stayed there. He left the house immediately, got up on his car and started driving away. He kept his eyes on the street lights and cable wires at all times! Fear had consumed him. He drove like a maniac!

BUMP! Ralph's car hit something.

He got down.A woman! Oh no! It was Charlotte, his ex wife! He panicked. If the police found out...nobody would believe it was an accident! Everyone knew he hated her. He WOULD be convicted and then.... ELECTROCUTED!

Ralph started running away. He felt like his heart was about to explode! He heard a buzz in his ears. He couldnt breathe and then...all went dark.

When he opened his eyes he found himself on a bed. "I didnt kill her!" he shouted, "I SWEAR I DIDNT!"
"I know" a man replied in a soothing voice, "calm down"

Ralph felt drowsy.

In a state of sleepiness he faintly heard the man say "Prepare the patient for electroconvulsive therapy"
