You lie in bed. It is past midnight, and you cannot sleep. It is too warm, and you can already see the first rays of light falling through the window.
You turn to your right side. Someone is standing in front of you.
You almost scream, suppressing it in the last second. Adrenaline pumps through your body, as your body tenses in preparation for fight or flight.
Then you laugh, shakily. It's just your chair, and the clothes you threw on it after undressing. Your heart is still pumping, and your chest hurts from the shock.
When the panic subsides, you finally calm down and drift into sleep. It grabs your foot. This time you you scream.
