The next morning, when I woke up I was still absolutely terrified of what Aredian was going to discover about me or Merlin or even Morgana. Considering how little time she had been aware of her magic; she must have been pretty shaken up about this all.

After getting ready that morning, I decided to go and pay Morgana a visit but as I was heading to her room, a voice from the shadows spoke out to me

After getting ready that morning, I decided to go and pay Morgana a visit but as I was heading to her room, a voice from the shadows spoke out to me.

"I think it's time we have that little chat of ours," Aredian's voice said, making me turn around. He then walked out from the shadows, his hat covering his eyes.

"How did you know where I would be?" I asked, crossing my arms across my chest.

"I had a hunch," Aredian answered. "Come along. We shall chat in my office."

Aredian turned and started to leave. I had half a mind to just turn from him and continue on my way to Morgana's room but then that would look way too suspicious so instead I just followed behind Aredian.

When we reached his room, Aredian took his hat off his head and placed it on his desk before he sat in a chair behind his desk while I stopped just in front of it. He started shuffling through some parchment as his other hand picked up a quill.

"Take a seat, Princess," Aredian gestured to the seat, not looking up from his desk.

"I'd rather stand," I replied, not moving from my spot.

"I said take a seat," Aredian repeated, a little more forcefully this time.

"And I said I'd rather stand," I insisted.

Aredian put down his quill and looked up at me. His eyebrows furrowed as he studied me with intent eyes. I refused to back down so I just stared back at him.

"Fine. Have it your way," Aredian sighed, picking his quill back up. "Now... I want to talk to you more about the witch attack." I remained silent and waited for him to elaborate. "How much do you remember from that night?"

"I remember bits, but not a lot," I admitted. That was a lie, I remember it all.

"Tell me what you remember then," Aredian requested, leaning back in his seat, tapping the quill on the table.

"Ok... erm... we were all sat down listening to who we thought was Lady Helen singing. After a little while we all started to feel drowsy. She was enchanting us all with a sleeping spell or something like that." I had to pretend to not know much about what happened or it would be too suspicious. "I can't really remember a lot of what happened next but I clearly passed out from the spell and then when I woke up she was dead," I explained leaving out the bit about Merlin.

"And what about your eyes?" Aredian asked, staring straight into them.

"I wondered when we'd be getting to that part," I muttered.
