Thinking of You

"Mama.... food" said Daisy, my 3 year old daughter. I nod and sit up. Josh, my husband is asleep next to me. I pick her up and carry her downstairs. I slide her in her high chair and make her some cereal. I place it in front of her and she digs in. I go and decide to get dressed. I put on a bodycon dress and slide a jumper over it. I slide on a pair of black boots and leave my hair down. I go downstairs and have porridge. Josh walks in and kisses Daisy's cheek. "I have work, you two be fine here" said Josh. "Josh.... I have work too" I said. "Well..... bring her with you" said Josh. I just sigh and he leaves. I roll my eyes and get Daisy ready. I put Daisy is a pair of jeans, a jumper and vans. 

I put her in her car seat and I drive to the tower. I'm joining the Avengers today, I didn't want to join before or during Thano's so I am joining now.  I rub my face and we go inside. Fury is standing there beside Tony and Steve. I walk over. "Sorry, my husband had to go to work and I couldn't leave her by herself" I said. "Hey, it's fine" said Steve. "Your new here and Steve is going to be your partner and mentor." said Fury. I nod and look away. "OK, sir" I said. "I'll be off" said Fury. Pepper walks over. "I'll babysit her while your with Steve" said Pepper. I nod. "Thank you" I said, smile. 

"So, can we take a walk?" asked Steve. "Sure" I said. We go outside and we sit on a bench. "So, we will start tomorrow, if you'd like" said Steve. "Sure. I should have worn work out clothes" I said. "It's fine, you didn't know" said Steve. "Tomorrow at 12. I need to find someone to mind Daisy. Josh works all the time" I said. "OK, well maybe I can see if I can pull some strings" said Steve. I look at him. "Tony has a daycare, you can use it" said Steve. "So, any special girl?" I ask. "Used to be. Sharon, but we broke up" said Steve. "I'm sorry" I said.

We go back inside and I decide it's time to bring Daisy home. "I better get Daisy home" I said. "OK" said Steve. Daisy runs over and we head home. I begin to cook dinner when Josh walks inside. He walks over and kisses my cheek. He sits down and picks up his newspaper. I sigh and rub my thighs. 

We have the chicken stew that I made. I give Daisy a bath and then I let her watch one hour of television before she goes to bed. Once she's in bed, I sit beside Josh and his reading another newspaper. I roll my eyes and turn on the television. I yawn and go to bed. I change and slide under the covers. I instantly fall asleep. 

Today was good, Steve is really handsome but I am a married woman, even if Josh is absent.
