Thinking of You

It's our first scan to make sure everything is OK and I'm using a different midwife because my usual one knows I'm married. I go find an outfit for it. I slide on black leggings and a white top. I slide on my Nike runners and put my hair in a messy bun. I go out and Josh is standing there. "Me and Laura are going out for a jog in park, be back later" I said. "Fine. I'll give your parents Daisy" said Josh. I nod and leave. I get there and Steve is standing there. 

He kisses me and we go inside. "Hi, I have an appointment. Elliana Nelson" I said. "Doctor Jade will be with you soon" said Lucy, the name on her tag. We sit down and Steve looks at me. "Why Nelson?" asked Steve. "I don't want to use my married name" I said, looking at him. Steve nods and holds my hands. "Elliana Nelson" said Doctor Jade. We stand up and go inside. "Just call me Jade" said Jade. We nod and I lie on the table. I do as she says and push my top up and roll my pants down a bit. "Is this your first?" asked Jade. "Steve's first baby, my second. Me and ex share a daughter" I said. "Aw sweet" said Jade. She squirts gel on my stomach and gets the wand. She places it on my stomach and turns the screen around so we can see. "Well everything is healthy, heartbeat is strong and your around 10 weeks" said Jade. "Wow" I said. "Come back when your 12 weeks" said Jade. We nod and I clean my stomach and fix myself. 

We take the pictures and Steve keeps them until I leave Josh. I kiss him and we go to In N' Out. We order and then find a seat. We get our food and we finish eating. I head home and Josh is gone. I sigh and go pick up Daisy. I bring her home and let her watch television. I lie on the sofa and rub my face. I make Daisy some food and then Josh gets home. He kisses my head and looks at me. "You OK?" asked Josh. "Yeah, just tired after the jog" I said. "Right" said Josh. I nod and then I go have a shower. Josh is playing with Daisy. I dry myself and put on joggers and a hoodie. I sit on the sofa and Josh is dressed up. "Going out with the lads" said Josh. I nod and have dinner with Daisy. Once we finish and I cleaned up, we watch Tangled. Once it get's to eight, Daisy falls asleep on me and I lift her to her bed and then I lie on my bed. I go on my phone and text Steve. Once we finish, I fall asleep.

10 weeks pregnant, with Steve's baby.
