O c t o b e r 30 t h 2014
(You might want to keep in mind that it's 2014 and not 2015 for the next couple chapters)
"Awww man, we're late." Misty mumbles. She was waiting beside you and staring at the clock above the front door. It read 7:34. We were supposed to leave four minutes ago.
"I'm just coming!" Queenie yells, rushing down the stairs and along the corridor with one shoe on, one shoe off.
You just roll your eyes and smile at her ineptitude before pulling open the door. She can put her shoe on in the cab that you were taking to the bus station.
Queenie groaned constantly as she walked across the gravel in bare foot and followed you two into the darkened car.
You shut the door behind Queenie as she managed to pull her trainer onto her foot and the car sped off.
Misty looked the most excited, she kept staring at the traffic with wide eyes, almost like a child. She definitely held the spirits up in the car with her permanent grin.
"So, do you think the hotel will actually be good? I mean, it was really cheap!" You remark, trying to think of some good conversation in the otherwise silent cab.
"Hm, it can't be that bad." Queenie says, shrugging her shoulders before going back to staring out the window. The middle seat sucked, you totally should've sat in the front with the driver. It'd even be worth it if the driver didn't speak because you would be able to play music on the radio.
Soon the car slowed down, then completely stopped.
You had arrived at the station.
You, Misty and Queenie climbed out the cab. You were wearing a (your/favourite/colour) top, it made a change from all the white that you had to wear to council meetings which had become a more regular thing to 'discuss the girls well-being'
Each of you carried your own luggage bags and sat onto the old bench at your stop, waiting for bus number 66 to park beside you.
When you picked up a map because you were bored of waiting after about thirty seconds, you noticed that the Cortez was the 6th stop which meant only a 30 minute journey. That was lucky.
Soon enough, the bus arrived and you and all the other bus-riders stepped on, just as the bus whirred into motion.
Swiftly after that, the bus arrived at the Cortez and strangely it was only you three that got off.
The other passengers gave you weird stares and judgy faces which made you slightly nervous but you just brushed it off as you pushed open the doors to the Hotel Cortez.
