Two weeks went by before you and Emily were finally able to go on your date. You are currently trying to decide what kind of outfit to wear, when your phone gets a notification. You unlock your phone and sit on your bed. You've received an email from someone within the FBI. Confused, you open the email and begin reading:

To: Y/N, L/N
From: SES Erin Strauss

Meet me in my office tomorrow.

Good afternoon, Y/N. Tomorrow, at 9:00 AM I need you to please visit my office. There is something important we must discuss. Thank you, and have a pleasant evening.

Sincerely,
Erin Strauss

What the hell? Why did the big boss want to speak to you? Gosh this is just the added stress you needed right before a date. Oh, you're date! You still weren't dressed yet. You choose an outfit that perfectly flatters your hair and eye color. You're fixing your hair when the doorbell rings. Butterflies fill your stomach as the reality of the date is setting in. Wow, this was actually happening. You walk as quickly as possible without running to your front door. You fling it open and see Emily on the other side. Her hair is curled and her makeup perfectly matches her black dress where the sleeves have a see-through flower lace pattern. She smiles as she looks you up and down.
"Hi," you say dumbly leaning against the door.
She gives a little laugh before saying, "Hi, Y/N. So, are you ready to go on that date or would you rather just go back to my place." She gives you a suggestive look causing your whole face to turn red. You swallow hard.
"Just a date please," you're able to squeak out. You can tell she's trying not to laugh.
"Well, don't say I didn't give you the chance." With that she turns and motions for you to follow to her car. She starts the car as you sit in the passenger seat beside her. She pulls out of the driveway and begins driving to who knows where. The only thing you knew about this date was she told you to dress nice, so you had.
Looking at Emily you realized that Emily felt way out of your league. You weren't the prettiest girl in the world and soon you were worrying if your outfit was good enough. You tried to discreetly check your hair and makeup, but you saw Emily glance at you before looking back at the road.
"So where are we headed?" you asked trying to break the silence.
"You'll see," was all she said in response with a little grin. Her smile made the butterflies in your stomach go wild. You tried not to let a huge goofy smile cover your face. "So, how have you been feeling? Any lasting effects from almost dying?" she continued, while switching lanes.
You giggled, "No not really. But I have been nauseous lately."
She quickly looked over at you concerned. "Are you okay? Do you think you should get that checked out?"
"No," you say trying not to smile too big. "It's probably just because I've been so nervous for this date." You see her shoulders relax and she smiles.
"Well, I'm glad you're doing okay." she pauses before saying. "We're here." You look up to see a really fancy restaurant called Levande that you had been dying to try, but weren't sure you had the money for. As you're about step out of the car, Emily appears in front of you holding out her hand. She smiles as you take her hand. You try to hide your blush.
Once inside you're taken aback by the fancy decorations of the building. It looks like an ancient castle modernized and turned into a restaurant. Everyone there is wearing the fanciest dresses and suits they had. Jewelry was worn by almost every woman there. Soon you're led to a romantic table lit only by a candle in the middle of the table. You had a not so beautiful view of the city outside. The buildings across the way looked dark and foreboding compared to the warm feel of the restaurant.
Sitting across from Emily in the romantic light made you realize once again how beautiful she was. She ordered a wine for your drinks as you stared at her. Soon she was staring back.
"Y/N?" she asks.
"Yeah?" you say dreamily.
"Is there something on my face or..." she trails off.
"What? No. I'm just admiring how...pretty you are," you say stumbling on the last few words. She raises an eyebrow and uses the menu to cover a blush forming on her cheeks. She tucks a strand of hair behind her ear. Soon you're joking and laughing and occasionally flirting while you wait for your food. It felt so comfortable just talking to Emily. You almost didn't hear your phone ring in your purse.
You dug through your purse and saw Hotch's name shining up at you. Confused you answered the call.
"Hey, Hotch, it's Y/L/N." Emily watched with a concerned look on her face.
"Sorry to interrupt your evening, but do you have any idea why Strauss wants to talk to you?" he asks seriously.
"I don't."
"Okay, well if possible could you let me know after you speak with her. We might have a case tomorrow and I need to know if you'll be able to work it with us."
"Of course, I'll let you know." You hang up and give Emily an apologetic smile.
"What was that about?" she asks you.
"Strauss wants to see me in her office tomorrow morning and I have no idea why. It's kind of freaking me out," you say.
"Y/N, it's probably nothing." She takes your hand into hers. "You'll be fine."
"Thanks." A couple minutes later you have dessert. You can't get over how good it tastes and you have to have Emily try some.
"Okay, but don't get upset if I don't like it as much as you." She says leaning forward. You take a spoonful of desert and put it in her mouth. The way she looks at you as she does makes you happy you're sitting down because your legs would've given out had you been standing. You feel yourself unconsciously lean forward as you stare at her lips. Suddenly you realize how public of a place you're in at the moment and quickly lean back and clear your throat.
You're still trying to calm the butterflies when the waiter brings the check. You see Emily pull out her card and are about to protest when you feel her leg rub against your leg. You freeze and swallow hard. Before you're able to regain your composure, Emily had already paid the bill. You sit back and cross your arms.
"What? Why are you looking at me like that?" she asks as if she had no idea what her leg had done.
You pause before saying that you would pay next time.
"Next time?" she asks raising an eyebrow.
"Yes next time," you say standing up and grabbing your purse. Soon you're out front of your small house. Emily follows you to your front door.
"Thanks for tonight." you say. "It was fun." Emily leans in closer and you find yourself backed against the door. The butterflies had traveled to your head making you dizzy. She brought a hand up and brushed a strand of your hair behind your ear. The places her hand touched you stung with nerves. You looked into her eyes and felt her breath on your face. You could smell the wine from earlier. Soon your lips were centimeters apart. She gently closed the gap causing what felt like fireworks to go off in your head. You definitely couldn't think straight and all the anxieties of the night were banished into the cold night air. Your hands found her waist and you tried to pull her even closer. Her other hand rested on your shoulder. Your body felt like it was on fire. You felt her tongue asking for permission and you gladly granted it access to your mouth. After a couple of seconds you pulled apart breathing heavily.
"Emily," you whispered.
"Yeah," she said licking her lips.
"We have to do that more often." you said. She smiled and you both giggled feeling like a couple of teenagers who just shared their first kiss. As much as you wanted to kiss her again you realized you needed sleep before tomorrow's meeting with the boss. "I should probably get to bed."
"You know I could help you with that," she says quietly and sultrily. You smile and gently push her away from you and giggle.
"Goodnight, Emily," you say and turn to unlock your front door. You hear her take a few steps back behind you.
"Goodnight, Y/N." Before you close the door you watch Emily walk away. Her swaying hips practically hypnotize you. You roll your eyes at yourself. You couldn't believe how she made you act like this. You bite your lip thinking of what could've happened if you hadn't pushed her away. You blush at the thought and quickly get ready for bed.
