"Oh yeah, well yesterday, you were practically in Penelope's pants," you shoot back at Charlie as he sits down at the table you are eating at. You both laugh and by the time you've calmed down, your cereal is soggy.

Suddenly, a phone starts ringing making both you and Charlie jump at the sound. Charlie jumps up and grabs his phone off the counter and answers the call.

"Hello?" you see his face turn serious as the other person begins talking on the phone. Charlie glances at you, then moves to the guest bedroom and closes the door behind him. You watch his closed door in concern as you try to overhear his conversation. Unsuccessful, you grab your bowl and pour the contents into the sink.

After a couple minutes, Charlie exits the guest bedroom and quickly grabs his keys and jacket.

"Is everything okay?" you ask him.

"Uh, yeah yeah. Of course. I mean- not totally. It's just Jack. Um I'm also his sponsor and...well," he rushes through his words while his mind is probably in a different place.

"Oh okay. Go see him. I'm alright," you say hoping to calm him down.

"Really? That's okay?" he says pausing, his shoulders relaxing.

"Of course," you say. "And I want to eat lunch with Emily alone anyways. The new case is here in town."

"Alright," he smiles at you. "I'll see you later then."

Before you can even say goodbye, Charlie has already closed the door. As you hear him drive away you can only hope this other person would be alright. Charlie knew how to help people. And so did you, if you ever got back to work. You decide to exercise your foot a bit before you see Emily later.

You meet Emily at the office since the team is working full steam ahead on the new case. You both sit at her desk while the team talks in the conference room.

"So what's this case looking like?" You ask her. She gives you a hesitant look. "What? It's not like I can't handle cases anymore because I haven't been to work in a while. Besides I need a case to warm up with for when I do come back full time."

"It involves drugs..." Emily says quietly watching your face.

"Oh...well okay...look Emily let me explain." You look around making sure you're both alone. "So years ago I got hooked on some heroin when my best friend at the time begged me to try it or she said she would kill herself. So I did it and got hooked immediately. I struggled with it for a while and Charlie became my on and off again sponsor. I relapsed quite a few times when things got even a little bit stressful, but when I realized I wanted to join the FBI I knew I had to quit for good. So I did. Although it was not fucking easy. I'm probably lucky I'm here today. So there, now you know," you finish and wait for Emily's response. She doesn't seem to find the right words so she just pulls you into a hug.

"God, you're amazing," she says quietly next to your ear. You lean back in surprise.

        "What?" you ask confused.

"The fact that you overcame that shows me how strong you are. You're amazing," she says cupping your cheek. You blush and look away because seeing her look at you like that might make you cry.

You clear your throat and grab her hand off of your cheek and hold it on your lap. "Now tell me about the case."

"Alright so-," Emily begins but gets cut off by your phone ringing. You sigh and answer it.

        "Hello?"

"Are you struggling with depression, anxiety, addiction? Then we, Gemedia, have got the thing for you-" you hang up before they can finish.

"Sorry, continue," you tell Emily while putting your phone away.

"So, this guy shows up in the hospital yelling and raving and causing a scene. The hospital staff try to escort him out, but he keeps yelling and fighting when he all of a sudden passes out. The doctors tend to him and find this mysterious drug in his system. They have no idea what it is. Anyway hours later he finally wakes up and demands to talk to the police. They get the police in there, but he only speaks nonsense. The only thing they can make out is when he says "He made me take it." The cops tried figuring out what he meant, but they didn't make any headway. The only reason they called us is because they tried making him write down what he was saying to see if that would be clearer. Instead he drew a picture of people being strapped down and being injected with something from a needle."

"How do we know this guy isn't just making it up?" you ask thinking of the stories you made up when high. You were very prone to hallucinate when on drugs. More so than others.

"Well we don't exactly, but there was the mysterious drug in his system. He did have track marks and the cops say they saw clear certainty in his eyes when drawing this. They said he seemed frustrated that he couldn't form the words to tell them what happened.

"So what's the team talking about right now," you gesture to the conference room.

"Last I checked they were discussing the victims background and looking into any unsolved missing persons cases."

"Want to go up and join the rest of team? See if we can provide any insight?"

        "Sure," Emily says standing up.

"Five bucks says Penelope is the only one talking when we get up there," you say playfully.

"How about if you're wrong, I get to try bondage on you next time I get you alone," Emily says lowering her voice and raising an eyebrow. You struggle to swallow as you process what she said.

"Deal," you say, your voice an octave higher than normal. Emily takes your hand and leads you to the conference room.

When you walk into the room Reid is rambling on about some fact about missing persons. Emily looks back at you and smirks before taking a seat at the table. You blush just thinking about what Emily might do to you later. You quickly dismiss any more thoughts like this from your mind so you can focus on the case.

"Does our victim have any connection to any of the other missing persons on our list?" Hotch asks Penelope.

"From what I've seen, Sir, no, but I'm still looking and I won't stop till every nook and cranny has been searched," Penelope replies typing away at her laptop.

"Good, now I want to send someone to speak to the victim. JJ, Derek, see if you can get any more information out of him," Hotch orders. JJ and Derek nod before standing and leaving the room. JJ gives you a small smile before leaving. Derek ruffles your hair as he walks past. You swat his hand away smiling. "Emily, you, Reid and I will check out the victims home. Y/N, I know you're technically not back yet, but if you'd like to help Penelope I'd appreciate the help." He gives you a gentle smile, something you know is rare, so you smile back and nod.

"Let's get to work." You reply moving to sit next to Penelope. Emily gives you a quick kiss before heading out with Hotch and Reid. As you watch them walk away you see Emily punch Reid's arm and him smiling in response. He was probably teasing her about you. You take a deep breath before diving your mind into the world of psychology.
