"I love Earth," Jasper said in awe as Octavia took off her pants and jumped in the water.

I tried not to stare too long. Tried not to look at the way the water beads clung to her body, how they traveled over her chest and down the front of her shirt.

Nobody knew my secret.

Hell, I wasn't even sure I knew.

"Octavia, be careful!" Clarke yelled. Her eyes widened as Octavia took the plunge.

We all waited, me, Finn, Clarke, Jasper and Monty, all of us at the edge, waiting for her to come back up and tell us the water wasn't toxic.

Hoping it was toxic.

A second later, she emerged from the water a second time. I quickly glanced the other direction, afraid of her noticing.

Jasper and Monty looked giddily at each other, Clarke had an eyebrow raised and Finn, well. Finn seemed about the only one who wasn't interested in Octavia. He was too busy looking at Clarke.

I felt close to Octavia in a way. Neither of us were supposed to be born, so, it made us alike. Similar.

Finn had walked over to Clarke, and was saying something to her when her radio buzzed and fuzzy voices tried to penetrate the line.

Clarke, startled, picked it up and pulled out the antenna to listen better.

Bellamy's voice rang out, clear as day. "Get back here, something's up."

Jasper heaved a tremendous sigh and started walking back with Monty. Clarke and Finn reluctantly followed suit, and Octavia walked over and fell in line with me.

I forced myself to walk slower, so my steps would align with hers. We walked about twenty feet behind them, purposefully keeping our distance.

I wasn't full of many great ideas, but I decided it would be fun. To spend time with her.

"Octavia," I whispered, nudging her arm. She abruptly looked up at me, expectantly, and I eyed the group in front of us, to make sure they weren't watching.

"Let's get out of here," I said excitedly. I watched as her face lit up and she nodded her head vigorously.

We sidestepped do a large tree covered us and waited until the rest of them were out of sight.

It was difficult to suppress our giggles as we realized we had gotten away with sneaking off.

Octavia grabbed my arm and jumped up and down. I matched her excitement and we laughed for about five minutes, collapsing after our stomachs hurt too much from laughing.

We took in huge gulps of air as we sat side by side against the thick tree trunk, gazing at the bright blue sky above us.

Octavia was quiet, her steady breathing thé only sound in the woods. The only sound that mattered, anyway.

I looked sideways at her and didn't even try to hide my foolish grin. "Wanna go back to the stream?" I asked her.

Octavia met my eyes and nodded. "Hell yeah."
