"Want to commit double suicide with me?"

Adrien had his head down at his table as Kagami walked over to him. "Adrien, do you feel sick or something?" "I'm okay." She pat his back, "I'm asking because you don't look okay." She noticed him not moving at all. "Why don't we go visit Marinette? We haven't been able to go together lately. It's been awhile, let's go." Alya walked over to them, "Good idea! Let's go!"
Adrien still didn't move, "No, I'm not going."
Kagami stared at him full of relief and even fuller of guilt, have I always been so terrible? I'm discovering all these different sides of myself that I never knew I had... Facing all these different sides of myself. I guess that's what you call, in love.

Adrien walked into the hallway as he saw Nino leaning against the wall waiting for him. "We're on our way to visit Marinette in the hospital. Come with us." "I'm going to pass on that." He said walking past his friend.
"No need to hold back because of us. Come on, let's go." Nino said following behind him. "I said I'm not going!" His voice slightly raised. "Dude, what's going on with you? After she did so much for you, why are you running away?"
Adrien slid down the wall with his head in his hands, "What am I supposed to do?" "You see... I... It doesn't look good for me." Marinette's words played in his head. "It's not true. It's not true." He whispered to himself his eyes pressed shut.
"I'm sorry. I made you remember something you don't want to remember. I guess maybe we never should've met, huh?"
"I couldn't say a word. What could I have said to her? How should I act when I see her?"
Nino let out a breath and kneeled down next to him, "Hey... This is just my opinion, but... I think you should go see her after all. Sure, if she was Alya, I'd do anything in the world, if it was for a girl I liked. But you know what, I think for Marinette, you're the one. When she wants her own way or needs to lean on somebody, whenever she wants somebody to do something for her, it's you she always turns to, Adrien." "But I just don't know what to say to her" He says his head still placed in his hands.
"Don't sweat it, you'll know once you're there. Time to take action!"

Adrien stood in the doorway as Marinette stared at him, his eyes refusing to meet hers. "I didn't think you'd ever come again." He held up a bag, "Because I promised I'd bring you croissants." "Have you been transforming?" "Yeah." "How's school?" "The same as usual." "How's everybody doing?" "So-so."
She crossed her arms as she sat up, "What kind of answers are those? You don't even want to be here, do you?" "Yes, I do. I do, but I don't know what to say, that's all." His eyes still refused to meet hers. "Just go back to the way things were before. Just forget all about it. Like we pressed the reset button." Even if I die, I won't forget.
His mouth parted as he finally looked her way. "And that will make your heart lighter. There's no point in remembering, anyway. A superhero who's bedridden. That's pointless." She had tears in her eyes.
Adrien stared at her sadly, why... why would you say such a thing? After all the chasing, begging, forcing me to fight as Chat Noir. After carving so many scenes into my mind that I don't want to forget...
He opened the bag taking a bite out of almost all the croissants in there. "My croissants!" She yelled. "Like I'd let such a cranky whiner have it? I'd feel sorry for the croissant!" "But I'm the one who asked for it!" "I'm the one who brought it!"
"You're irresponsible. I wash my hands of you." He said as he walked out of her room, leaving her laughing.
He walked home slowly, I feel bitter, so bitter. And it's just so sad. You gave me so many things... Isn't there anything I can do for you?
