Beyond Her Eyes (COMPLETED)

The next day I opened the front door because of continuous knocks, she came back and is now standing still while smiling like an idiot. Umiling ako at agad na sinara ang aking pintuan, stopping her from coming in. Muntik pa siyang maipit dahil nagpupumilit siya na makapasok.

"I am not in the mood to deal with you." I said bitterly.

Gladly hindi niya ako kinulit ng araw na iyon at 'di na angpumilit na pumasok sa aking bahay.

"Ohayo," A voice said in a long tone. I covered my eyes with my arms with so much irritation.

Badtrip. Natutulog pa ako oh. Tch.

"Ohayo,"

The voice reiterated. Can't this voice shut? I am sleeping! Wait... why would I hear voices when I am alone in my house!? Agad akong napabalikwas sa aking kama. Elani was shocked from my sudden reaction.

"Anong ginagawa mo rito?" Kunot noong tanong ko. Napatingin ako sa orasan, alas siete pa lamang ng umaga. "Paano ka nakapasok sa bahay ko ha!?"

Hindi siya makasagot sa tanong ko, she blinked twice, her lips pursed and her cheeks turned red. She slowly turned her gazed away, looking shy. "H-Hubad ka."

Agad akong napatingin sa sarili ko, wala akong saplot pang itaas at nakaboxer lang ako... shit! morning wood. I immediately grabbed the comforter and covered myself like I was a girl who just wake up from a one night stand.

Tangina.

"I'm sorry." I said full of sincerity, I don't want her to feel unrespected even if it is her fault for coming in my room.

"N-No, it is my fault for barging in." She laughed awkwardly still looking away from me. "I will go out," She runs away as fast as she could.

Napailing ako sa reaksyon niya. Ano nga ba naman ginagawa niya rito sa loob ng bahay ko? May lahi ba siyang akyat bahay? Tsk.

I dressed up first before going downstairs.

"You haven't taken a bath but you are here now," I commented.

"I already took a bath, if you are judging from my dress well, this white midi dress is my favorite, just look how beautiful these bishop sleeves are." She rotated and showed the dress sleeves.

Napailing ako sa kanya. "Kumain ka na ba?"

I opened the stove and put some oil on it, I cracked some egg and season it with salt and pepper. I also toast two breads and prepare some coffee.

She did not answer. Pinanood niya lamang ako sa aking ginagawa.

"Yeah, I already did." She said while scratching the tip of her nose and stared at the toasted bread that pops out of the toaster. "May gagawin ka ba after?"

"Bakit?"

"Papasama ako sa'yo." Sambit niya at tinitigan ako.

My eyebrows furrowed. "Ano tayo friends para samahan kita?" I scoffed.

She dramatically held her chest like she was hurt from what I said. "We are!" She sounded insulted. 

"We exchange names so we are now friends." She said pointing at me then herself.

"What? It is not friendship—"

"Ah, basta! Friend kita, sasamahan mo ako sa pupuntahan ko mamaya. 'Wag mo na ako itaboy tulad ng ginawa mo sa akin kahapon. Hmp."

"That is not how friendship forms." I whispered. "Saan ba?" Taas kilay kong tanong sa kanya.

"Poblacion," She said and stared straight to my eyes, nanghahamon.

"Ayoko." I stood up at tinulak siya palabas ng pinto. "Go home."

"Wait! No!" Pilit siyang napupumiglas sa pagtulak ko sa kanya. "Come on!"

"A-YO-KO." Sambit kong bawat pantig upang makaintindi siya.

"Ohhh. I feel that someone is frightened by just hearing Poblacion." She said mocking me.

I pushed her to get out and locked my doors, I can hear her screaming but I don't give a fuck. Poblacion on Sunday!? Fuck, no. I don't want to be surrounded by too much people. It will be a shock for me to see their future especially if it is tragic.

"With that facade you are truly scared!" I heard her voice from the outside. "Ha! Display lang nga yang katawan mo."

"Stop judging me," I shouted before turning my back at the door.

I took my time doing some work outs and cleaning my house. I finished my routine at exactly 3 PM so I decided to take a nap. I woke up around 5PM, I thought Elani already left but she was there at my front door sleeping. Napamasahe ako sa sentido ko, she is so persevere.

"Hoy, gising." Sambit ko at hinampas ang pader sa tabi niya.

"H-Ha!?" Agad siyang napatayo at nagpalinga linga sa paligid, nang marealize niya kung nasaan siya ay agad niya akong hinarap. 

"Ano? Tara na!" Anyaya niya. Natawa naman ako sa buhok niyang magulo.

"Ayoko, umuwi ka na." Sambit ko at sinara ang pintuan.

Maghahanda na dapat ako para sa hapunan ngunit wala na pala akong stock ng mga pagkain. I exhaled and got my keys. I opened my front door again and saw Elani standing there. She is smiling at me like an idiot.

"Gusto mo pumunta sa poblacion 'di ba?" Tanong ko. Her eyes lit up, mukhang alam na niya agad kung saan papunta ang usapan na ito.

Tumango siya sa akin at nagpapaawa.

"Tara."

"Yes!" She jumped from excitement like a kid.

Masaya siyang sumunod sa akin at sumunod sa sasakyan. "Seatbelts," paalala niya.

"Yeah," Walang sigla kong tugon sa paalala niya.

Fuck, people's eyes. Iniisip ko pa lang ang dami ng tao sa Poblacion sumasakit na ang ulo ko. I exhaled and tried to expect the worse. 

"Can you go to the grocery on my behalf?" I glanced at her.

She looked at me. "No way," she said in a long tone stressing the word 'way'. 

"Oh, nice biceps and veins." She formed her thumb and index fingers into L's and snipe at me while her left eye is close putting me inside the rectangle in her perspective.

Napailing ako sa kanya.

"Para kang manyak."

Humagalpak siya ng tawa sa aking sinabi.

"I'm a simp," She showed her four fingers. "for you," she added and winked.

Bakit ba ako nagpasama sa babae na 'to?
