Cedric Diggory. Hufflepuff house. He walked Jade to the common rooms where they had to part ways upstairs. "See you for breakfast tomorrow?" he asked with a loving smile. "Yeah, I'll meet you in the common room in the morning!" Jade called after him as he headed up the stairs to the boys' dormitory and she tucked her hair behind her ear as she headed up to the girls' herself. "Okay, sleep well!" He called from the staircase. "Goodnight!" Jade called back. She sighed in the girls' dormitory and pulled out the letter she got back from her father that morning. It said:
Daughter,
I read the entirety of the letter that you sent, and after reading it, I decided I only understood you to an extent. You mean to tell me that after they sorted you wrong, you just allowed them to? Honestly, you fool! Do you forget who raised you? You grab them by their cloak and you look them in the eye and you tell them that if they don't re-sort you, they can kiss their life goodbye. Actually, forget what I just said, you need to keep your cover, but explain that Hufflepuff is wrong and they need to sort you into another.
Jade rolled her eyes and closed the parchment. She placed it back inside the envelope and into her trunk. She went to her bed and tucked herself in. She had a lot to think about that night but ultimately managed to get some sleep.
