you were currently wandering around the city looking for a certain brown haired girl. she was one of your first friends here in Mondstadt and shared the same excitement for adventures like you. together you did many things like your windglider license.
from your travels you got her a gift which you announced in a letter before and since your arrival she had been more than excited to see it, or rather to see you.
she did develop an attachment towards you. it was not her fault that your smile lighted up her entire day and that your fighting was so gracefully, nothing could compare to you. and also did you both share the same passion for gliding in the air.
you never made fun of her because she was weak or anything, you saw her as a strong woman and she really appreciated you. she couldn't imagine a world without you and doesn't want to loose you because you are the most important person in her life.
you waited on top of the starsnatch cliff for Amber, to hand her her present she had been waiting for for a few months.
it was too fragile to send it per mail and you didn't trust the mailmen enough to let them handle it. it was specially made for Amber and costed quite an amount of mora but it was worth it.
"(y/n)! i'm here! sorry for keeping you waiting. Kaeya bothered me when i wanted to depart." the girl was out of her breath, leaning her arms on her thighs as she tried to calm down.
you just chuckled at the sight of her, you really missed her energic personality and especially her hugs. which she often gave you and you didn't mind. just like right now, after she calmed down, she tackled you to the ground holding you tight to her.
"i missed you so much! what did you think being gone for so long? consider our feelings aswell...what about me" the last words she only whispered, barely for you to hear but you managed to catch them.
instead of answering, you just hugged her back causing Amber's eyes to widen and a few tears to slip. she really missed you a lot and being in your arms again made her feel safer than ever. it made her warm and fuzzy on the inside and a light blush spread across her face when you even hugged her tighter.
Amber knew she wasn't the strongest even if you try to tell her otherwise. often thoughts like that she isn't enough and doesn't deserve to be your friend crossed her mind, making her insecure but you were always there to help her back up. only you did she fully trust with everything and she was glad to have you in her life.
