~ 13 ~

"Your reaction was perfect" Forth said the next day when the met for breakfast. He was watching one of the video's his juniors had taken and posted, Beam slight pink cheeks and smile... made his heart skip a beat. "You are a born actor" Forth smiled, "check with video out". 

Beam only nodded, he knew it was not an act instead he was actually falling for Forth. He didn't have to see a video to know that.

"Is he okay?" Forth suddenly asked, his gaze fixed on someone beyond Beam, "Phan" but he stopped as Beam turned to look only to find Phana stand in the middle of dining area with a troubled expression, he shot one glance at them he just nodded and walked away. Beam sighed, heartache followed him like shadow and now his friends too.

"I got a text... " Forth said, breaking Beam's thoughts "he wants us to move in together by end of this semester". Beam had got it too, in addition one more 'to do a better job'. "Okay" Beam said, "I have never seen that expression on Pha". Forth looked again but he didn't find him, "where is Kit?".

"He went to meet Prae" Beam replied, "can I ask Phana to join us... he will be alone". Forth nodded, "sure why not". Beam called his friends phone but it was switched off. "Are you going to come back with me?" Forth asked, "we will leave a bit late after settling everything... say around 3. You can go back with your friends if you want to leave early"

"I will go with them... we have a early class tomorrow at 7" Beam said, "Phana said that he will be done by 11 ... and we can leave before noon"

"Okay" Forth said, "see you tomorrow then.... But then again only in the evening. I wont be able to make it for lunch my labs are scheduled then"

"Take your time" Beam replied, he was about to leave but Forth said, "at least give me a kiss before you go... too many eyes". Beam took his plate and got up, but he placed a quick kiss on Forth's lips "see you soon. Text me when you guys start".

"also... stop telling people that you will marry me" Beam said before walking away, "I am setting the premise from day 1.... Don't blame me" Forth said, but it sounded like he was annoyed, so Beam just continued to walk away

It was around 10 when Beam walked back to him room, he just wanted to grab his assignment before heading back to Phana's place. A large figure sat on the love seat in the dark, Beam froze by the door every part of him alert, "who's there?".

"Hello" Beam knew he has heard it before but just couldn't place it where he quickly turned on the lights, "don't tell me you forgot me". It was the devil himself, sitting in middle of the road with smile on his face as if it was nothing new for him to materialize in a locked room. "What do you want?" Beam asked, he closed the door but didn't lock it. Neither did he walk into the room, he was not a fool.

"Just a friendly chat" Alec responded with a smirk, "you have been leaving a lot of bits and crumbs to raise suspicion". Beam raised his head, his heart rate was steadily raising and he could actually feel his body shake... fear or anger he was not sure "I am doing my best".

"Well. It's not enough" Alec smiled, "has been almost 2 months and you have not once spent the night with him". Beam felt a wave of dizziness hit him but Alec continued, "to make things worse you are spending the night with your friends..Phana, Kit if am right... not to mention daily". Beam swallowed hard, he held on to the wall to stand upright.

"Forth has been doing a great job... but on the contrary feels like you need more motivation" Alec smiled, "from what I have seen Fear is as good a motivator as reward"

"No" Beam said, but he could control his voice from breaking. "To top it off, you cant even wait for a couple of hours to get back with your boyfriend?!!" Alec shook his head slowly, "I was really disappointed Beam".
