Three

Jisung sat on his livingroom couch, casually reading a book as he took a sip of his iced americano every so often. He had been in Heaven for about three weeks and honestly, he still loved it. San and Seonghwa would come by everyday, the three going on walks to explore the meadows and mountains surrounding the city. It turned out that both San and Seonghwa also hadn't been in Heaven that long, so they enjoyed going places together. They'd discovered a somewhat hidden lake, deciding they'd definitely go back there more often.

However today, the duo was out running some errands, leaving Jisung all alone. He didn't mind as much as he still wasn't used to having any friends other than Changbin. Speaking of Changbin, he missed the boy dearly. It was his only regret being in the afterlife; being without his best friend. He wondered if Minho had taken his spot as best friend, sulking slightly at the thought. He wouldn't be replaced that easily, now would he?

What he didn't know, was that Minho was currently being tortured in one of the darkest chambers in Hell. It wouldn't last for eternity as the rumors would say, it was basically up to the demon on when he would release the poor victim. 'Subjects' would be able to leave whenever the demons were done with them, however it was also the other way around. If a demon wanted to torture you in some, they'd just teleport you to them whenever they desired. Judging by the grin on his obscure looking face, Minho wouldn't be out for a while. He didn't know how time flowed there, or how much time had even passed. What he knew, is that it felt like an eternity already.

But he thought like he deserved it. He had let his soulmate down, unable to save Jisung from himself. Even though he had felt the dull ache getting worse that day, he didn't think something that drastic would happen so soon after being thrown back down to Earth. Even though his mind wasn't working clearly as the chains pulled his limbs further apart, he did know that the gods were ruthless. He just wasn't able to tell if the demons were worse.

Jisung decided to get up from his couch, going outside by himself this time. Who knows, maybe he could make some more friends. He snickered softly to himself, knowing that even though he wasn't human anymore, he still very much had the same personality as when he was alive. Awkward and shy, only now less anxious and not depressed. Anxiety was something that was just within him, it always would be. Now that he didn't have to take care of his father and himself anymore, he had no worries. They had all washed away, taking his depression with him. He wished it would have been as easy when he was alive, but he didn't dwell on that thought for too long. He was happy with the decision he made. At least, for now.

He wandered through the ginormous garden before exiting the other end he had come from. He ended up on a marketplace, seeing a few carts around here and there. It amazed him just how much Heaven was like Earth. The only plus side was that everything was free. Money wasn't necessary, however people still decided to take the odd jobs such as being a vendor. Seeing all the good people ended up in Heaven, there were no crimes whatsoever. Jisung thought that maybe it also had to do with the fact that everything was free, so stealing wasn't really a necessity either. Even if someone would 'steal', it wouldn't be that, seeing everything was free.

It fascinated Jisung. If it was the same on Earth, it would most definitely be chaos. He could imagine the greedy people being first in line to snatch everything away, leaving nothing for others who would be giving and kind.

It made him like Heaven even more.

He thanked an older looking man for the apple he had 'purchased', in his mind cursing at himself for stuttering whilst just saying a simple 'thank you'. He would get better at communicating... eventually.

He looked around and the older looking part of town, before spotting a music shop. Excited, his passion still flowing through his soul, he entered the shop. It seemed to be way bigger on the inside than expected, although that is something Jisung had realised about a lot of things in Heaven. San had told him he could completely change the layout of his house from the inside, making it a mansion if he desired. The exterior wouldn't change. It was something Grald had decided when he was born as a god. Funnily enough, the intimidating god had a soft spot for architecture. Everything needed to be cohesive, so he chose to create this rule. Jisung had to admit, it did make the city look amazing.

"Hello! Can I help you with anything?" An excited sounding voice beamed from behind Jisung. The latter would probably have died of a heart attack if he had been alive, that's how much it has scared him.

"O-Oh. I'm just looking a-around."

The taller of the two laughed, smile so bright it could blind Jisung.

"It's so funny how I can tell you're new here. Everything is free, remember?"

"I-I know! I've been here for three weeks already!" Jisung huffed slightly before he continued speaking. "I just, you know... will be here for a while. I-If I buy everything now, what will I do in the future?!" It seemed like the other boy had to think for a moment longer, before he nodded.

"Touché. Well, if you see anything, let me know cutie."

Jisung nearly gagged on the inside, but he wasn't sure if the other boy had ment it in a flirtatious way anyways. Maybe he wasn't even gay, so Jisung decided he wouldn't just jump to conclusions like that.

He browsed the store for a little while before settling on a simple acoustic guitar, as well as a grand black piano.

"Now... how do I get this to my house..." Jisung muttered to himself, staring at the piano as the worker came to stand next to him.

"It'll be in your home when you arrive, although I suggest you pick a spot before you open the door. If not, it will just pick a random spot. Though it makes for a possible funny situation, you'll still struggle to get it to the place you want."

"... Can't you just close the front door, imagine it and then open the door again so it's in the right spot?"

"I'm glad to see you're catching on, my friend."

"F-Friend? We can't be friends, I don't even know your name, mister!"

"Lucas! My name, is Lucas."

You know the saying 'it's a small world after all?'

Yeah.

That applies for Heaven too folks.

Also, disclaimer: i am in no way intending to bash or disrespect any religion. This is a work of fiction and this form of 'Heaven' does not intend to depict the 'Heaven' your religion believes in! I just don't have a better word for it, and for people to call it the 'afterlife' constantly is just???? Because they feel alive. Hope you understand. You are free to believe in whatever you want, nor am I trying to change your perspective on your beliefs!!!
