"Aren't your cells in the basement... or in a dungeon or something?"

"What? No, we're not cliché!"

The two had moved up the initial flight of stairs along that huge door, as they were now walking through a long corridor. "Can I ask something?" Jisung asked as he walked closely behind Asmodeus, scared a random demon might just jump out from around any corner they walked past.
"You just did~" Asmodeus spoke in a tune. Jisung decided to ignore the cheerfulness of the demon prince as he asked the question he'd had in mind all along. "What is the price for this? I am here unscaved, your brothers have let me be. I want to know now why you're doing all of this. If you do not intend to keep one of us here, what could you possibly gain from all of this? Also... can you let go off my hand..." Asmodeus' grip only became tighter around Jisung's hand, before speaking himself.

"What the cost of all this is, will be revealed once you are before your soulmate. The amount it's worth, depends on how valuable you view it to be. To me, this is the best thing! And no, I am not letting go of your hand." The cheerfulness in his voice send a shiver down the boy's spine, still unsure of Asmodeus true intention.

Soon they came to a halt in front of a door with a large seal. Jisung knew it said something but he couldn't read the language, so he didn't bother. Asmodeus laid his hand on it and it started glowing a bright orange before a click could be heard on the other side.

"Only those with the power strong enough to release this seal, can enter and exit."

"W-Why're you telling me this?"

"Because you'll have to decide whether or not you trust me enough to go in here with you. Your lover is down these stairs but why has he not released the seal himself if he was strong enough? Does that mean angels can't do it? It means that to get out, you'll need me." Asmodeus smirked, eyes staring mischievously into Jisung's widened ones. He had come all this way, only to have to put his trust in the demon again? A monster that he still owed something to? Even though Asmodeus had agreed to his ultimatum, Jisung didn't think he was a man of his word. Demons were cold and evil creatures anyways, they don't care about betrayal if it benefits themselves. But what could he do? He couldn't just say 'no, I don't trust you so I'll just turn around and leave'. He sighed as he looked Asmodeus in the eyes.

"Turning back at this point is futile, whether I trust you or not doesn't matter anymore." With that, Jisung passed by Asmodeus who let go of his hand as he took a step forward.

And another.

And another.

He heard the door close right behind him, the click of the lock falling back into place the only sound he heard. Asmodeus' footsteps started to follow him and soon caught up to his. The hand on his shoulder stopped Jisung from reaching the bottom of the stairs as he stared into the void.

"Here, some light."

Asmodeus snapped his fingers and with that, candles were lit with fire. Jisung could make out a... bedroom? It looked more expensive and prettier than anything he had seen, but why was he brought here? He stepped into the room as he turned the corner, suddenly gasping at the sight.

"M-Minho hyung!"

There he sat, bruised and bloodied on the stone-cold ground. His arms were hanging up above his head, chains holding him up as his hands hung down, showing his exhaustion. His hair was slightly longer than Jisung had remembered and Minho's clothes were all cut up. The latter's shoulders flinched as he slowly raised his head. He was afraid that the voice he'd heard was just in his head, that Jisung wasn't really there. But when their eyes met, all of those fears washed away. Jisung was here. How, he didn't know. Why? He didn't want to find out. He felt selfish, but Minho was so relieved to see the boy.

"Ji....Jisung!" He croaked out. His voice sounded broken, pained and worn out from all the screaming and crying. Jisung slowly walked towards Minho before falling on his knees right in front of him. Tears ran down both of their cheeks and Jisung hugged Minho loosely, not wanting to put more pressure on his wounds.

"I-I'm s-so sorry! I did this t-to you! Forgive... m-me!" Jisung spoke through his sobs, cluthing onto Minho's back tightly. Minho couldn't hug back but he so desperately wanted to. Jisung seemed to notice as he moved back from the hug, moving his own hands up to the shackles that chained Minho up. He was about to open them up as Jisung was yanked back from his soulmate and thrown into the wall onto the other side of the room harshly, before falling down on his stomach and onto the large bed that stood below it. He groaned loudly as he looked up, seeing Asmodeus staring back at him, eyes full of a crazy emotion Jisung hadn't seen from him yet.

"That was sooooooo cute! Sadly though, it seems as if you've forgotten something! My reward... and your payment is due." He walked up towards Jisung, the boy trying to push himself up to get away from the demon. Being thrown into a wall had definitely knocked all his strength right out of him, so Asmodeus reached the boy before he could even properly sit up. The demon prince grabbed Jisung by his jaw and brought their faces closer.

"W-What is the p-price?" Jisung sputtered out, glaring at the demon.

"You really should learn not to trust a demon, my sweet Jisungie. I've killed many men in my time for loving someone I cared about. Seeing the pain the love of my life went through brought me so much joy, I just can't seem to stop hurting those who are madly in love. Oh and, what's that? You're soulmates? Perfect. I'll beat and torture you so much you'll never want to be touched by anyone again. I'll be making sure your loverboy will be able to hear all your screams, cries and pleads for help!"

"That won't w-work, I'm stronger tha—"

"Trust me honey, when we're done... you won't believe in love. If you truly think you can handle all that, we might as well go a little further... if you catch my drift." Asmodeus wiggled his eyesbrows, finding himself very funny.
"Let... him go!" Minho coughed as he tugged onto his chains for the first time in what felt like forever, paining every muscle in his arms. Having seen Jisung made him want to live again, he wants to protect his soulmate again. If only he could get free.

"S-So you're going to... force me...?"

"Something like that. It's not every day I get to take away the love of a God! A God who has a soulmate on top of that as well! Your pain will give me energy for the next 700 years!"

"G-God?" Minho spoke, staring at Jisung as both their eyes widened. Surely, Asmodeus had lost it and had misspoken. He just ment to say angel, right? He let out a wicked laugh as he grabbed Jisung by his throat, pulling the boy up before slamming him into the mattress.

"It's insane you don't know! I can't believe those 5 idiots up in Heaven sent their successor without telling him or preparing him! If only you had been taught some things, maybe you could've done something now!"

Jisung's eyes started to water as he glanced towards Minho. The older had tears in his eyes as well, as he had now stood up and was pulling on his chains, silently begging for them to release him. Asmodeus hovered over Jisung, leaning in as his eyes started glowing bright red.

"I'll always love you." Jisung whispered to Minho as he closed his eyes, hoping what was to come would pass quicker if he didn't see it.
