-Flashback-

Cough, cough, splatter.

"H-help...huff...anyone?"

I managed to let out a cry in an attempt to reach out to anyone for help but it seemed futile. My cry  was soon overtaken by the banging of furniture collapsing to ground,  immediately incinerated by the blazing flames. The fire continued to engulf everything in its path, spreading out at a formidable rate without any sign of ceasing.

I'm going to die. It's hopeless...my resistance is hopeless. The cupboard that fell onto me earlier might've left me with a broken rib and leg. I couldn't move. Not even a budge.

The blaze produced thick smog filling the room, rendering me temporarily blind.                                      Am I going to die leaving everything behind? Is this how it's going to end?

 No... I haven't told him yet... I haven't told him that I...

Suddenly...

"Felicia !" Someone kicked the door open, interrupting my train of thought.

"Are you okay?! Where are you?!"

"H-help... me!" in my final attempt to get his attention, I shouted. He heard the sound of my scream and managed to locate me, rushing to my side. I don't know who this person was nor where he came from but I had no other choice. This man dressed in all black, wearing a hooded jacket, face barely visible, he's here and I am thankful.

The man shoved the heavy cardboard away from me with ease. Even with the weight lifted off me, I couldn't move an inch. I was numb. Slowly losing consciousness. I could identify the strong smell  of blood soaking on my white lingerie. It was drenched in red. I could sense that he was taken aback at the sight of me. My condition was shocking. Without hesitation, he swung his arms around me and carried me off the floor. His grip was firm and secure.

"Got you" he muttered. He tighten his grip on me and said, "I'm getting you out of here."

Tears streamed down my face. At that moment, I felt safe.

I could feel his hands tighten, holding me closer to his chest. He made a dash towards the front door. We made it out. The house was slowly fading out of sight from the overwhelming smoke as the man who saved me distance himself from it with me still gripped tightly in his embrace, giving me a sense of security.

We finally got away from the hazardous ruins. My anonymous saviour looked me in the eye, me still sobbing from the relief of being saved. Everything was hazy but I could smell the faint scent of lavender coming from this mysterious being. In a way, it helped me block out all the negativity around me. I became relaxed. I then tried to focus my view on him but the hoodie he was wearing was making it hard to really make out how he looks like. His body is so warm. I wished we could stay this way. I wish it wouldn't end.

"Shhh, everything is going to be okay." His tone was comforting. I felt calm as he then pulled me closer to him and continued to then pat me on the head. If only it was the true. It seemed like a fairytale and like all fairytales, it didn't last long.

The last thing I could recall was his ocean blue eyes gazing down at me before I lost consciousness.

The blue eyed man in black...

-End Flashback-

"Hey, are you okay? You look rather pale." Venna voiced. She stopped peeling the apple and sat on my bed, next to me. "I'll call the doctor." she continued.

Before I could protest, she pressed the button calling for assistance. Not long after, a doctor followed by a nurse entered the room. Venna explained the situation looking rather worrisome. She must've have thought that I was imagining things and was losing my sanity. The doctor conclude that I might be experiencing memory loss due to the impact of the fall and contacted my mum. Great...
