Chapter 8

-Felly's POV-

I awaken, finding myself laying on the bed in a totally different room from yesterday. The furniture is different. The whole room is painted white. On my right, a transparent glass door was seen with a translucent white curtain hung, overlaying it. From my point of view, I could see the blue waves dancing on the shores beside the white house. Is this a beach house? I looked down and I realized that I'm in a different dress. I have a white lace dress on. Wait, What am I doing? There's no time to waste. I need to get out of here.

I looked around, scanning the room, plotting an escape plan. Beside the bed, there is a wheelchair. If I'm fast enough, I can probably escape. I got out of the blanket that was wrapped on top of me and used all the strength and hopped into the wheelchair, trying my best as to not make any ruckus. The least thing I need right now is to alert Ethan or his goons. Now that I'm finally off the bed and moving, I feel much better. My back still felt stiff, but both my hands and legs are no longer throbbing from the pain. I could easily grab the wheel of the wheelchair with my right hand without any discomfort. Since my captor is Ethan, escaping from here won't be that easy. Just as I was about to move the wheelchair with my hands...

CLANG!

Eh? I looked down and to my horror, I see a chain cuffed to my left leg.

"What in the world?!" I used both of my hands to tug on the chains, but it was useless. The more I struggled, the more it carved into my skin. I try to think of another alternative to get these chains off me. Reaching out for anything I could get my hands on. Several objects fell onto the ground, but all of them are of no use.

I looked at the object that I have. A book, a key and a lamp. Maybe I can try to unlock the chains with the key! I inserted the key into the keyhole praying that it would unlock, but even after countless times jamming the key in, it didn't seem to do anything. Overwhelming frustration came over me and I threw the lamp that was in my hands. It crashed on the wall and fell to the floor.

"Dammit, Ethan! Let me out of here!" My voice echoed through the whole house. Silence followed.

This house is empty isn't it? I pull myself back on the bed. Good thing the bed is low enough for me to get back on with ease. Maybe he specifically chose this bed for me so that I can get in and out of it on my own without needing any assistance. I shrug the thought off. Suddenly something came to mind. Why are there books on the desk when there's a huge bookshelf right across the room? Maybe... there's a secret button. I have seen this on television!

Haha... this is pathetic. I shook my head, indulging in self-pity. Can't be right? I turned my attention to the books on the desk. Well, it wouldn't hurt to try. I moved the books and as expected, there's no button. I knew it, but something is weird about it. There is a circle drawn on the desk table. It's not obvious as it is the same color as the desk but if you were to stare long enough, you can probably see it. I pressed the button and the circular line rose up, revealing a red button.

Just like in the movies, it does exist! Without giving it a second thought, I pressed the button. Soon, a loud noise can be heard. What is going on here?! Will there be dogs let out of their cages to guard me, preventing me from escaping? Or will there be a bomb activated somewhere in this room like what I've seen from those psycho movies?! Million questions ran through my mind. It was soon answered...

I look up at the ceiling and was petrified at the sight. A metal cage is slowly descending to the ground. With my reflex, I quickly jumped off the bed, throwing myself on the floor. I have to get out of here! What is Ethan thinking?! I am not a wild animal to be caged in like this!
