The Music Club

The eight boys sat in a circle made of chairs in the club room. Silence engulfed the room as no one tried speaking because of the new faces around them. Some looking at their feet, some playing with their fingers and some looking here and there avoiding eye contact. Sensing the awkward tension in the atmosphere, Chan decided to break it to make them feel more comfortable. He cleared his throat loudly to grab everyone's attention. "So, I think introductions are in order." the boy spoke when everyone's eyes were on them. "Anyone wants to go first?" he looked around and sighed when no one dared to speak up. "Well then I'll go first," he said and stood up from his seat for a formal introduction. "Hello, guys! It's really nice to have you all here. I'm Bang Chan. I'm a witch and the student body present, as you all may know and I am also the head of this club." he spoke as he looked at everyone. "We also have a producing team called 3RACHA, which includes me, Jisung and Changbin." he continued while pointing at the two boys. " We worked on music with each other for a long time together and produced some music as well," he said with a proud smile. "But now that we have you guys, we can make better music," he said with an encouraging smile which everyone returned, even Minho. "Now..anyone else who want's to go next?" Chan asked but when no one volunteered, he sighed in defeat and pointed at Changbin to go ahead.

The muscular boy stood up for his seat confidently. "I'm Changbin." he spoke with a straight face without even greeting anyone. "As Chan Hyung said, I'm one of the producers and a vampire prince. I'm also one of the rappers along with Jisung." he looked at the squirrel boy who gave him a wide smile. "And with that being said, Jisung why don't you go ahead and introduce yourself." Changbin continued while still looking at the boy he just mentioned with a smirk. The squirrel guy got up from the chair almost immediately and flashed his gummy smile to everyone. "Hi guys!" he shouted excitedly while looking at everyone. "Hello Baby!" he said jokingly when his eyes landed on Seungmin, who scrunched his nose in disgust. "Anyways-" he said while rolling his eyes at the puppy boy. "You may have seen my beautiful face all around the school. I'm Jisung. Han Jisung. I'm a producer and rapper in this group and I'm a nymph." He said and smiled proudly. He then pointed at Hyunjin. "You can introduce yourself now, new boy." he said while sitting back in his seat. As a son of the most beautiful demigod, Hyunjin portrayed elegance, as he stood up gracefully from his chair. "Good afternoon everyone!" he greeted politely with a bow. "I'm Hwang Hyunjin, son of the demigod Aphrodite. I'm new to this school. Thank you for letting me join this club." He finished with yet another bow and then pointed at Felix before settling himself down. Felix stood up with sunshine like a bright smile. "Hello everybody!" He said cheerfully while waving his right hand. "I'm Felix and I'm merman." He said with his original heavy accent which gave everyone chills as they witnessed his voice duality. "I'm the head of the swimming club. I like music and dancing, so I decided to join Chan hyung's club." he said while looking at the witch and flashing his infamous smile. He then pointed at Seungmin before taking his seat. The puppy boy stood up with a sigh. "Let's get his over with." he mumbled before gaining a formal posture. "Enough with the hello's, I'll straight away jump to the introduction." He terse and looked around the circle as no one dared to move. "I'm Seungmin and I'm the last elemental which means I'm only one of my kind that can control all the four elements." He said flatly and looked around once more before his eyes landed on the three new boys. Minho, Hyunjin and Jeongin, being new to the group, didn't know the whole story and therefore they started feeling pity for the boy. Seungmin noticed this. So, to clear this up he spoke yet again with the same tone. "There is no sad story behind this." He said particularly looking at the three boys. "The gene which gave me this power eventually died down leaving me the only one who can control all the four elements. Others who are like me can control only one or two at the max." He explained as the three boys made an 'O' expression. He just nodded to that and then pointed at Jeongin for the introduction before sitting down. The fox boy stood up nervously, trying to avoid eye contact with everyone. Taking a few deep breaths to calm himself down, before smiling and looking up with confidence, the boy spoke. "Hi! I'm Jeongin. Nice to meet you all." He said and smiled cutely as everyone looked at him with heart eyes except for Minho of course. The poor boy doesn't even know what affection is like. "I'm a fairy and I sense that I'm the youngest here, so I'll be calling you all hyungs, I guess." He said and looked around the group once more. "I'm really happy that you gave me a chance to be here. I'm a new kid too. I just got settled in Jisung hyung's village and he helped me a lot." He said while smiling at the mentioned boy, who smiled brightly as he heard his name being mentioned. The fox boy ended his introduction with a "Thank You" and then asked Minho to go ahead as he was the only one left. Minho nodded and stood up from his place. His hands started to get sweaty as he took deep breaths to calm himself down. People have never been around him. He was just a loner since the news got out that he is the son of the world's strongest devil and angel. He could never talk to anyone because either people were afraid of him or he was too shy to get people close to him or he might hurt them. So, he just considered it's better to stay away and maintain the image he has. This both keep people safe from him and him from people. "Hi." He said trying to look confident as he controlled his expressions and kept a blank face. "I'm Lee Minho and I'm a Nephilim. I assume you all know that by now." He said a looked around the room to see everyone nodding their heads. "Thank you for letting me join this group." He continued and finished his short -introduction before he sat down again as his heart calmed to a regular pace.

"Ok! Now that we all have introduced ourselves, let's go ahead and see what you guys can do on stage." Chan spoke as everyone nodded their heads. "Who's going first?" He asked as Felix immediately raised his hand. "Ok then, go on the stage," Chan said as he took a clipboard in his hands. The freckled boy just smiled and nodded his head before making his way to the stage. "Changbin, can you please turn the stage lights on?" Chan requested. The boy just simply nodded making his way towards the light switches. "Oi Felix!" Chan shouted to get the boy's attention. "We are going to play the songs randomly, just to see how professionally you can act on stage, ok?" He informed and the boy on the stage just nodded his head with a big smile.

"Hey! I said I'm not a squirrel!!" someone shouted. "Hyung, you look like one when you eat." a boy teased and laughed out loud. "You are a brat, come here!". "AAaaaahhh....help!" a scream was heard all around the room. Chan had enough of it. "Jisung!" He yelled. The mentioned boy stopped dead in his tracks. "Instead of chasing around Jeongin, why don't you control the music station, hum?" He said and pointed at the music system. "But-" Jisung wanted to continue but that earned him a death stare to which he just lowered his head and made his way to the music system. "Ok Felix, are you ready?" The boy with the clipboard asked to which the merman responded with a thumbs up. "Changbin, please turn on the stage lights and switch of every other light in the room," Chan ordered and the vampire just nodded and did as said. "Thank you," Chan said before turning towards the music station but the wolf-like boy never got to give instructions to the squirrel boy as the boy already started the music the moment the stage lights were switched on. Chan just smiled at Jisung and fixed his eyes on Felix.

As the merman started dancing beautifully to the rhythm of the music, Changbin noticed something was off as the lights which were supposed to be switched on were not working but the boy just shrugged it off as he thought there were some technical defaults either in the switch or in the light itself. Nevertheless, he stood there staring at the boy on the stage in complete awe as the boy danced elegantly on the stage. Changbin couldn't help but hear something else besides the blaring music from the speakers. Something like a cracking sound came to his vampire's ears and that was enough to put the boy on alert. He was about to inform Chan about it but before he could say anything, he heard a clear click of a nail falling on the ground and the next thing he saw was a bundle of huge stage lights falling towards Felix as the said boy stood there paralysed.
