Chan was left in shock after Minho took his leave. Of course, he didn't expect Minho to just welcome his feelings with open arms but he also didn't expect him to react like this. After observing him for quite a while, Chan was pretty sure Minho had something for him to say the least but his reaction justifies something else. He felt a lot of emotions at that point in time. He felt a burning pain in his chest as he held back tears. Sniffing his nose, Chan tried getting up from the place where Minho just threw him into but can't as his legs gave up, making him fall down again. He curled up into a ball as he let out a few tears and a shaken breath. 

Minho could hear Chan quietly sniffing while cursing himself for the situation he previously created. Taking a deep sigh Minho climbed the stairs meeting with a worried Felix at the end. "Hyung-" The Nephilim dismissed the merman by raising his hand up to Felix's face before walking out of the door and towards the very pond, his parents left him to die before miraculously Natalya found him and has been with him since. She was the one who told him that, the mansion and the money was his father's. At first, he didn't take the news well. He ran away because he didn't like the fact that his parents threw him away like trash but eventually he came back after being persuaded by Natalya. 

Gowing up, he came to hate his parents more and more, even though Nataliya told him stories about his mother's eminence in wisdom and his father's enormous power. He just hated the fact that his parents don't care about him. He used to see everyone being picked by their parents in kindergarten, while he used to walk alone through that spine-chilling path which he got used to as he grew up. He wanted to feel loved and praised. He wanted to be happy just like the other kids he was so jealous of. He knew the kids despised him because of his breed. Who will not? He was half-demon after all and people tend to see others' bad side always. Therefore, he had no friends as well. Literally, no one to see his good heart and listen to his feelings. So with time, he became cold and stern. He still had the warm heart he was born with but he learned to hide it from others. 

He learned to be alone but he didn't take it as loneliness until he met these seven creatures in the music club. He could see how everyone was comfortable and cheerfully around each other and how no one really seems to be bothered by each other even though they were all different. What was a big surprise for him was that no one seems to be scared of him. They were ready to take him in with open arms and they seemed to genuinely be there. He wasn't the one to be attached to someone this fast but these guys made him feel what he longed for years. They made him feel appreciated. They made him feel happy. They cared for him and they appreciated everything he did. He made friends for the first time and he love the experience. He even liked one of them. The one who made his heart stop. The one who comforted him when he didn't know he needed him. The one who made him feel weird things in his stomach. The one who cared for him. But he caused him pain and hurt. He lost control and caused him harm. So, before he could hurt him anymore, he stopped him. He stopped him from taking his care. He became distant but his stupid heart won't listen. His heart wants that guy who he left miserable just a while ago. He dreaded to see to be in his presence but he can't. He won't let himself hurt someone who he has come to care for so much. 

"Hyung?" Felix called out as he slowly entered the basement. "Hyung!" Felix shouted as he ran towards a passed out Chan. His knuckles were bleeding and so was his cheek while other bruises covered his body. "Hyung, are you ok?! Hyung, answer me!" Felix panicked as he rapidly shook Chan to make him regain consciousness. "Is someone here? Please help us!" Felix had to shout multiple times before someone heard him. "W-What happened?" Seungmin asked as he and Felix escorted Chan to his room. "I have no idea. Maybe someone broke into the house." Felix guessed as worry laced his tone. "Even if someone broke in, Chan Hyung should've fought them easily. He is strong enough to withstand a break-in unless there are not one but many. If that's the case, no one is safe on their own." Seungmin said as he laid Chan on the bed and looked at him worriedly. "We have to inform everyone." Felix said as he took out his phone and started typing on the group chat to alert everyone but before he could hit send, someone grab onto him. "Don't." Chan said semi-consciously. "Hyung, this is serious. Someone broke into the mansion." Felix said, half confused as to why Chan is acting this way. "No one broke into the mansion." Chan said weakly. "Then what are those injuries hyung?" Seungmin asked while Felix sat on the bed. "It's me." Chan said as he sat up. "What? Why would you-" "Did Lee Know Hyung do this?" Felix asked cutting off Sungmin making the puppy-like boy look at him in disbelief. "How is that even a question, Felix?" Seungmin asked as he shook his head in disapproval. "Chan Hyung, answer my question." Felix said sternly as he ignored Seungmin who was giving him disgusted looks. "I lost him forever Felix." Chan said as his breath hitched due to the injuries. "I did this to myself. I have one of those episodes." Chan said as Felix and Seungmin looked at him with more worry. "But I thought, you got over it. How did you even-" Felix hugged Chan making him wince in pain as the merman touched one of his bruises. "I'm so sorry." Felix said as he pulled away. "But Hyung you told us that, you don't do it anymore." Seungmin said feeling betrayed by Chan. "I'm so sorry that I lied to you guys. I just didn't wanna worry you." Chan looked down at his hands in embarrassment. "Does Minho Hyung know?" Felix asked to which Chan shook his head 'no'. "Please don't tell him." Chan begged making the two younger boys sigh and nod their heads. "But he'll find out one day." Seungmin said as he looked at Chan with worry while Felix treated Chan's wounds. "I already found out."
