A Note of Problems

The sun rose again, brightening the previously dark sky, declaring the beginning of a new day and Chan sighed for the nth time as he again faced a restless night. It's been happening since he was about ten years old. After his parents died, he often gets nightmares and that made him restless. Nevertheless, he got up from the bed with a sigh yet again to prepare himself for school. There was a thunderstorm last night and he didn't like it at all. Don't get him wrong, he loves the sound of rain pouring outside his window. It soothes him but the sound of thunder annoys the hell out of him. He feels disturbed when the loud sound of thunder interrupts the calming sound of rain. No, he is not scared of thunder, he just gets irritated by it.

As he made his way towards the living room, he felt a presence around him. He didn't see anything though but still, he checked all the rooms to make sure. 'Must be my caffeine acting.' He thought as he tried to shrug it off. He went to the kitchen and opened the refrigerator for some refreshing juice and made his way towards the kitchen counter where he saw a letter. A quite weird one. Its envelope was dark red, similar to the dense liquid we have in our bodies. Blood. He opened it and saw a white sheet of paper folded in half. "You are next." was all that was written in the letter and Chan found it confusing yet terrifying.

First of all, who sent it and where it came from? Second of all, how is it on his kitchen counter? Sure, the postman has had passed it through the mail column in the door but then it should have been on the floor not the counter, until and unless the person used magic but it is not allowed to use magic near the residential areas, his parents made sure of it. No one could disobey them, they were the high priest of his coven and he is next in line once he turns twenty-one. Besides, it's dangerous too. Third of all, why would someone send it to him? As long as he knows, he never argues with anyone let alone fight with them. He makes sure he never hurts someone's feelings. So, getting a letter like this doesn't make sense. 'Should I discuss it with someone?' Chan asked himself before keeping the letter in his bag and making his way towards his room to do his morning chores.

Minho peeked over his blanket to find the weather clear and warm. He suffered last night because of his Astraphobia. Yes, the brave and cold Lee Minho had a fear of thunder and he was ashamed of it. Putting on earplugs with loud music will not have helped because that makes him more anxious in the dark. His house electricity was cut off as well because of the storm. He didn't wanna use his powers again because the last time he did, something bad happened and fully stopped using his crappy powers which are not in his control. In short, it was scary and being alone in the huge mansion didn't help.

He sighed in relief as he saw the sun shining brightly in the sky through the window in his room. He got up from his bed and made his way towards to bathroom to get ready for school. After eating breakfast, he took his bag and left for school. Even though he could use his powers to take care of the house but he still had caretakers just to clean his house. They arrive every time he leaves the house for school. As for the food, he makes it himself. He doesn't trust anybody with the food, even the school canteen.

The distance between his school and his house was not too much but the road or the path between them had forests on either side. Since his house was away from the residential area, there weren't many people living around the area he lived in. He likes it there. All alone by himself. No one to bother him, no one to ask favours, no one to invite him anywhere with them and no fake formalities. It doesn't make him lonely, not at all. 'Maybe a little but who cares right?' Minho thought as he passed the forests. 'What the fuck?!' He thought as he heard a loud bang and a few crows passed just over his head. He looked around to see if anyone was around him but no, he was all alone. That's when he noticed a letter near his foot. He quickly grabbed it and turned it over to see his name along with the names of the people in the club written on it. 'Now that's what I call weird.' He thought as a giggle escaped his lips.
