"What?" Hyunjin coldly spoke as soon as he accepted the call. "Where are you son?" A sweet voice of a female questioned from the other line but Hyunjin could see through it. He knew the woman had something up on her sleeve. No matter what his mother does, he could see through her actions. "What do you want?" He didn't wanna deal with her right now. Earlier that day, he was thinking to call his father when he was in his room, hoping he would pick up but a whole drama happened back there with Jeongin, therefore he couldn't. "Can't a mother check up on her son?" She chuckled and it was the fakest thing Hyunjin has ever heard. "It's been almost two days since I have last entered the house and you decided to 'check up on me' now." He said as he mimicked his mother's words and chuckled bitterly. "Enough with the jokes." The once jolly voice was now turned into a stern one. "We need you back at home." His mom said, like those formal, rich and elegant ladies on T.V shows. Hyunjin hated that tone. Everyone in that place speaks like that, no matter how many times he tried being informal with people there, they just won't budge. Hyunjin hated being elegant all the time. He just wants to be himself, just like he is with his friends. "What if I don't want to?" Hyunjin said as he rolled his eyes, not that his mother could see that. "I am not asking you, I am telling you to come back home." She said with a pissed voice. The fact that Hyunjin could get on her nerves, made him satisfied. "I don't take your orders." He said as a smirk appeared on his face. He knew that his mother hated it when people disobey her or make her repeat the same thing twice. "Hwang Hyunjin!" His mother yelled from the other side of the phone after she lost her patience, which made the young demigod laugh. She has had enough of the boy. 'This little boy thinks he has an upper hand.' She thought as a chuckle escaped her lips. Hearing his mother laugh out of nowhere made Hyunjin's face drop. He knew what she would say next, which would compel him to go back to that hell hole he used to call home once. He just had to hear that from her. "If you don't come back home then I'll do the same thing to your so-called 'friends' as I did to her." Aphrodite said and Hyunjin could literally see the evil smile on his mother's face. "No, you will not. I won't let you." He said as he got up from his spot near the lake. "Oh honey, yes I will." She said with the honey-like evil voice she has. "You don't even know where I am." He said with a scoff. "Check your phone." That was all she said before hanging upon him. "W-What do you mean?" Hyunjin questioned, taken aback by what his mother said but obviously he got no answer. With a sigh, he looked through his phone where he got a notification from none other than his mother. He opened the chat and almost dropped his phone when he clicked on the picture his mother had to send him. There he was, with all his friends, on the same road which took him to Minho's house. The photo was taken from the back. 'Did the person who was following us that day took this?' Hyunjin thought back to the day he first arrived at the place. It felt so warm to be here with his new and welcoming friends. 'I may have been scared that day but I felt safe with them.' His thoughts were interrupted by another notification on his phone. "If you don't come back in twenty minutes. I will kill him." The text said followed by a picture of Jeongin in a class at school with his face crossed with a red marker. Hyunjin knew this was serious. It's happening all over again. He cannot risk someone's life again for his selfish self. So, he did what he had to. He left what felt like home and ran to that miserable and cold prison-like castle which meant nothing to him.

"So, you left the house to save the other guys?" Jeongin asked softly to which Hyunjin nodded. "And you." The demigod added and Jeongin's heart did a flip. 'How can Han Hyung hate such a caring person like Hyunjin. He risked his life for us.' Jeongin thought as he looked worriedly at the older. "The person who followed us the other day, he was sent by your mother, right?" Jeongin asked something he already knew the answer to. "Yes, she sent him and no she is not my mother." Hyunjin said as he looked down at his hands and Jeongin could sense the anger in his voice. "Hey." Jeongin said softly as he moved closer to the older. "Don't say that." He said as he grabbed Hyunjin's chin ever so slightly and made the demigod look at him in the eye. Hyunjin moved away from the fairy, sacred that he will get hurt because of him. He didn't want that woman who he used to call his mother to find out about this. She is already suspicious of their relationship. At least, that's what he thinks. The least he could do is stay away from the younger. "You don't know about her." He said and looked down on his lap again. "Then tell me." The fairy said and kept his hand on the older's shoulder. Hyunjin was afraid that Jeongin and his other friends were gonna hate him because of that sick-head lady. He didn't wanna tell them about her but he knew she is dangerous. He can't be selfish and not tell them about her. So, with a sigh, he looked up straight at the younger's eyes.
