PART 3 : Scion of Wisdom

The trees were singing.

The songs of laughters are everywhere.

Men and women were happily harvesting fruits from every trees.

Children are running and playing around.

It was a nice day indeed.

But not for the 18-years old boy crouching at the dark corner of the tiny shed.

He was sitting with his face buried on his knees. He was hungry. He only ate halfed of the banana yesterday.

"Meow.." A white with a hint of black and orange colored cat came out from his back. He patted the cat's head as it lay down on his lap.

Both of them were pretty hungry.

He flinched when a loud banging sound was heard on the door.

He trembled in fear. His wounds are still aching due to the blows he received yesterday.

"Buksan mo ang pinto, Punyeta!"

He hurriedly got up and opened the door only to received a slapped on his face.

"Ang tagal buksan hah!"

"Sorry po." He said as he snuffled his tears.

"Wag mo akong ipapahiya ngayon, Kenma!" Sigaw nito sa kanya.

"P-pero hindi ko po alam kung anong gagawin ko-", He receive another slapped on the face. He saw his cat trying to attacked but he shaked his head to calmed it down.

"Gawin mo! Para naman may silbi ka!". Sabi nito habang tinapon sa kanya ang isang saging. Lumabas na ito at pabagsak na isinarado ang pinto.

That was his father. His good-for-nothing father.

Two months ago, may naramdaman siyang kakaiba sa katawan niya. After that, he saw some images on his mind and saw his father being attack by a large bear.

Nang marinig niya ang ama na papunta sa kagubatan, pinigilan niya ito at sinabihan sa nakita niya. His father didn't listen to him, pero umuwi itong sugatan.

His father confronted him. Tinanong nito kung paano niya nalamang may aatake sa kanya, he told his father that he don't know. He told him, na nakita niya lang ito sa utak niya.

And that was his mistake. Now his father told everyone that he can see the future. People would visit him to seek for his ability and when he failed, his father would beat him hard.

The truth is, wala talaga siyang makita whenever he face those people. Kahit anong pikit niya o gawin niya, wala talagang lumalabas sa utak niya.

He peeled the banana and ate the half while he gave the other to Shiro, his cat.

After eating, naisipan niyang matulog muna. But the moment he closed his eyes, series of images flow on his head making him nauseous.

4 people.
Monstrous creatures.
Dark.
Lightning.
Water.
Ice.

He opened his eyes and was panting hard while holding his head.

'Again?'

Sa loob ng apat na araw, Kenma would always saw that images again and again on his mind.

Hindi niya alam anong ibig sabihin nito. But his brain was telling him that the 4 people he saw, could save him.
