Chapter 0; prologue

Just saying I have no idea what a prologue is okay? Okay
This is basically a chapter 0.5 with a bit of an explanation of the AU Mk. :)

Almost , keyword being almost, every single minuscule person born in this world is born with a soulmate specifically assigned for them, maybe even 2.
On ones 13-15th birthday or the day after, a singular word, a sentence or a phrase is put on their dominant hands wrist, along with a red spot just behind the mark that is relatively sensitive to touch and is really, really itchy all the time. That word, sentence or phrase are the first words their soulmate will ever say to them specifically, and when they hold hands, the red spot becomes a soulmate mark, which is usually a little mark that looks like a mix between their quirks or something like that (e.g shigadabi would be cracked fire)

The red string is something that appears after a couple of years of being together. It's basically just a little heart on your other wrist that tells you how the relationship with your soulmate. For as long as you love each other you're inseparable, like no one can pull you apart. Other than death, or breaking up

Pink = married or engaged
Red = healthy relationship
Orange = good relationship
Yellow = could be better relationship
Green = not the best
Blue = should probably try and fix it
Purple = probably gonna break up
Black = no longer together
White = you done fucked up, soulmate connection is gone. Periodt. Fuck you bitch
Black with skull = your soulmate is dead. Oof my man or woman or person, that's sad.

Some people, infact, many people devote their lives to find their soulmates, others put it off as something else to do later when they're bored. Some people even hate their soulmates and hate the thought of ever getting one, and some don't even believe in them.

How will this work out for Dabi, who's entire existence is because of his hatred for soulmates and his father pushing away the thought of ever getting one, and hawks, the man too fast for his own good with a questionable at best past, when they run into each other.

Will they die?(maybe)
Will drama happen?(yes)
Find out next time I decide to stay up all night to write, cause fuck sleep schedules and school! (If your wondering, it's freaking 2 in the morning when I'm writing this and I have school tomorrow so yay. But this will be published at a normal time.)

Also just a note, the ages in this story are different than canon cause I'm ✨special✨ and I can do that. If you don't like it... too bad I guess. And some of them can also speak both English and Japanese but their more fluent in Japanese, because ofcourse they are, it's anime, in Japanese.

This does include manga spoilers and my AU, so yeah, you have been warned.you will learn my AU as you go like in actual mangas and anime, deal with it. And no, I will not be shipping students x students, not yet at least.

Also this is an edit, if I've mentioned anywhere what month/day it is, no I haven't. This starts off in February and in one of them I'll state what the date is, because I have a plan for what happens in different months but I need to know what month it actually is.
