Chapter 9

Chocolate chocolate yum yum chocolate!

POV- Clint

I watched Nat walk in with Samera close in tow. I give Nat a look and she gives the don't question me look. 

"Samera you came!" Peter says rushing over I watch her give a little smile and walk over to Peter.

Nat makes her way over to me. "Do you really think this is a good idea Nat?"

"Why not? She is part of the family why cant she be a part of family time?" She sasses at me. She definitely has some plan going on and I have no clue what it is.

"Spill the beans."

"what?" she says looking at me

"Don't act innocent with me. Seriously what are you up to?"

"I think she needs to branch out Bruce didn't like the idea but I think we should give her some self defense lessons, maybe you could teach her archery or something out of the normal. I just think she needs to experience things."

"What are we plotting over here." James says walking up.

"We were discussing our newest member and how to help her." I say.

"Actually I was thinking maybe we should just do some chill stuff today." James says surprising me. I guess we all are trying to look out for Samera just in completely different ways.

"Fine you can help her stretch but then you hand her over to me." Nat says taking charge.

"I don't think you are the best to support someone who is new to the world of ......Fighting....." James says.

"Don't question me." Nat says looking ready to pounce.

The two of them look like they are ready for a fight. "Maybe this would be better suited for the mat?" I say trying to sooth the tension.

"Mind if I watch?" we all turn to see Bruce chilling in the doorway.

"Not if you don't stop me from what I am about to do."

"I trust you babe, Just please don't hurt her I haven't even had a real conversation with her yet."

"I will be gentle but firm now I have your word?" Nat asks.

"What are you going to do?"

"You really dont trust me?"

"Hey I didn't say that I just, she is young and not supper powered  or super trained or anything that any of you have, I get the right to be concerned."

"I guess thats fair" Nat says.

"Just be gentle and remember she is fragile right now."

"I think you will learn she isnt as fragile as you think" Nat says walking away and saying "Alright Samera, Peter. Where did you go?"

"Coming" I hear Peter shout from the back room. I watch as they walk out and Samera is smiling. I don't think I have really seen that on her. She looks sweet but like she has known pain, Just like the rest of us here. 

Nat assigns us to practice different things, normally we would do our own thing but I think we all got the message that Nat wants to observe Samera and see what she can do.

I start to just go at it with a dummy when Peter walks over looking confused. "Hey kid what's up?"

"I am trying to decide if I should let Samera know I am you know ..... Spiderman"

I recognize that is a problem I don't think anyone has really thought about. Sure all of the team knows but we all know to keep it under wraps and yeah we like Samera so far but is she really trustable. "Maybe keep it secret for now and talk to Tony about it later. I am sure he would have an opinion on the matter and might be able to give you more insight into Samera's past so you know she is trustworthy."

"I guess that is the wise thing to do. Should I play it dumb like at school?"

"I think just act average but don't do anything crazy like walk on the ceiling or something" I say giving him a small wink.

Peter is about to say something when Samera walks over with Nat. "Stop gossiping and get back on task Nat says teasingly."

I watch Peter and Samera both make eye contact and then quickly glance away. I am starting to think they are crushing on each other.  Peter is about to walk back over to James when I decide to get involved. "Nat how about we let Peter teach her the boxing skills he has been working on. She'll have a lot more fun that way." I say with a wink towards Samera.

Nat looks like she is about to refuse when she gets that look again and just nods "Peter this will be good for you to get those things set solid in your mind. Go ahead you two." 

I watch Samera's face completely change from worry to pure joy. The two of them head over to the mat and Peter starts to instruct her. Man Tony needs to teach his kid how to flirt better.

"I guess I should have thought about letting her be with Peter sooner." Nat says watching them out of her peripherals as the good spy she is.
