Ink's POV

My body was embraced by something warm that smelled like rain water and cologne. It was surprisingly relaxing to take in the attracting scent.

I didn't want to get up but I knew that today was Sunday so I needed to go to my part-time job. I worked at the small game store. The one where I saw Error, that's where I work part-time.

I opened my eyes to pick up my phone but movements ceased when I realized that I wasn't in my bedroom. Currently, I was laying on the couch in the living room.

Of course my phone was dead, again, as it wasn't plugged in. However, there was a neatly folded piece of paper next to it.

Picking up the paper, I unfolded it to see that someone had written me a letter. It was from Error.

Me: Error has surprisingly good handwriting.

I began to read the letter out loud to myself.

[Letter]

Hey Ink. I don't exactly know what to say in a letter as well, it's the modern age and phones exists. Also, I don't have your phone number.

Well for starters. You fell asleep when we were playing games last night. So I took responsibility upon myself to make you comfortable.

I took your brown scarf off so it wouldn't choke you while you were sleeping. It's folded on the opposite side of the couch.

My cooking skills aren't the best but I made you something to eat in the morning. It's a dish that I learned about when my family was in France.

One last thing, before I left to go home since my brother called me fifty times to ask me where I was, I put my jacket on you so you wouldn't get cold.

I want to ask you something on Monday so keep that in mind, Ink.

[End of Letter]

Looking over my body and sure enough, I saw Error's jacket covering me. His jacket is was practically a blanket compared to my short body. Error has always been way taller than me. I felt rainbow blush begin to cover my cheeks.

'Come on, Ink. Pull it together.'

I thought to myself as I patted my cheeks. I was finally able to make my rainbow blush go away after a few minutes.

Holding up Error's jacket, I stared at it. This is what smelled like rain water and cologne. Subconsciously, I gently buried my face in the fluffy hood.

My rainbow blush came back but I didn't do anything about it.

Suddenly, I heard Ginger walk up to me. She had a smile on her face that was smug.

Me: Oh hush. His jacket smells nice.

I said to my dog as I pushed myself up for the day. I had to get ready for work. Once I was ready, I strapped Ginger to her leash to take her with me to work. As I left the through the front door, I checked to make sure that I had my brown scarf around my neck.

When my father was alive, he was a chief police officer and he didn't trust me being alone so he got me a guard dog, now know as Ginger. When she wasn't working, she was sweet dog.

I just now noticed that Ginger hasn't been acting like a guard dog towards Error. If she saw that he used to bully me, she would have acted more aggressively.

Before I left the house, I took Error's jacket and wrapped it around my waist so if I see him in town, I can give it back.

I sorted figurines on the shelf with Ginger sitting quietly to my left side. It was quiet and content until a voice interrupted my peace. A certain deep voice that I was all too familiar with.

Error: It seems you have my jacket around your waist. How cute, Ink.

Me: I wore it just in case I ran into you during the day.

Error: Right and not for the fact that it smells nice.

Error teased me as he bent to say hello to Ginger.

Me: How did you know about that?

Error: You said it before I left your house. And honestly, it was kinda adorable.

He said as he got closer to me. My face became plastered with rainbow blush as my cheeks heated up. I shook my head and looked away from him.

Me: I'm trying to work, Error.

Error: I wanted to ask you something. Since we're here.

Me: What is it?

Error looked away and rubbed the back of his neck. His voice started to stutter.

Error: I-Ink, would you like to g-go out with me?

Me: Like as in a date?

Error: Y-Yeah.

  I thought for a second.

Me: I don't know, Error. You did bully me for three years.

I could see the soulbreak in Error's eyes. Then, I suddenly smiled.

Me: Ah, I'm just kidding. I'd be happy to.

Error smiled out of relief but he suddenly lightly punched me.

Error: Don't do that, Ink. So... is Friday okay?

Me: Yeah. I'm free after school. Also here's your jacket.

After I gave Error his jacket back, he left the store. I on the other hand was required to finish my shift before I could leave.

Ginger wagged her tail as she watched Error but calmed down when he was gone. I continued to do my job until my shift was over.

(Time Skip)

I flopped onto the couch before pulling out my phone. I got a text from my mother saying that she was coming home later than normal because of work so she wanted me to set out meat from the freezer. I did as she said and went back to relaxing in the living room.

Closing my eyes, I thought about what happened today. Error asked me to go on a date with him. I felt my face heat up with rainbow blush and I buried my face in my brown scarf.

For some reason, I felt nervous but excited for Friday even though I've never been on a date before in my life. Honestly...

I wanted to go on the date now
