Now let me start off by saying.

Being in a ceiling sucks.

Currently I was waiting in (the literal sense) the ceiling of the old school building. Using my shadow form I sank into the ceiling as was entirely invisible.

Now, you may be asking, why are you in the ceiling? Well.....

*Flashback*

Opening up a portal back home I stealthily split myself. Sending a perfect clone of myself in with Kala, and the real me blinking into the shadows.

I had one other problem to deal with.

The stray kitten.

Hiding in the treetops I watched as a girl carefully made her way out of the nearby bushes. A very short, white haired, Kuoh Academy student, who just so happens to be a devil and has been stalking me all day.

I had taken notice of her ever since my date with Kala began. She shadowed our every move.

Now it was my turn.

Letting my presence slip just a tiny bit, I began following the girl as she made her way presumably home. With letting my presence slip I knew she had some idea she was being followed. I could have just jumped her but I wanted some payback for making me feel uncomfortable.

Slinking through the darkness I blinked all around her, making sure she was doing spins to try and spot me. Picking up her pace she was nearly jogging now. Nearing an alley I decided to end this little charade.

Blinking into the alley I fully masked my presence and waited for her arrival.

*Koneko POV*

"Where are you!?" I thought angrily to myself. Flinching at any form of movement I was almost scared now. I thought I was the only one keeping an eye on Mercer senpai, clearly I was wrong.

While it was my own idea to follow him I am sincerely regretting it now.

Part of me wanted to just break out into a sprint and get away, another part told me it wouldn't make a difference.

After feeling whatever it was that was following me vanish I took a breath and checked behind me. "Did they lose interest?" I wondered. Turning my head back around I was caught off guard as a hand covered my mouth and dragged me into a alley.

Feeling some kind of tendrils restraining my arms I redoubled my effort of struggling. Only to realize I was powerless.

All of it, even my rook strength was gone. Feeling that presence once again, this time almost drowning me in its power. I struggled as hard as I could in fear.

"Enough." A cold voice whispered in my ear.

Freezing at the feeling of his breath on my neck I almost started praying he wouldn't do what I think he was going to do.

"Good." The voice said again, slightly distant this time. "You see little devil. I don't like being followed." He began in a condescending voice. "I already get enough of it by the girls at school and the damn student council, but at least they only do it when I'm there. You on the other hand have been following me all day." He explained. I couldn't tell if he was angry at me or what. I also couldn't say or do anything.

"Now. I am a forgiving kind of guy." He said resting his forearm on my shoulder. "You are going to do yourself a favour and pretend none of this happened." He ordered. "You are going to go back to whatever it is you do, and I will do the same. But, if you start following me again? I won't be as forgiving next time." Finishing his statement his arm morphed into a set of massive claws and curled each blade dangerously close to my face.
