My first day back home was even better than expected. Spending time with my kids and husband was all I needed. Shawn ordered food for us and we stayed in the living room playing monopoly for hours. It was fun, even though Brandon got mad when he started to lose.
"They are both sleeping now." Shawn said coming into our room.
"That's good."
"How you feel babe? Is your leg bothering you?"
"I'm good. I just need to get use to the cast."
"Do you need anything?"
"No, I'm fine. I just need to be held by my husband." I smiled.
"You have no idea how much I missed you." Shawn climbed on the bed and laid down next to me, pulling me close.
"You just say that because the house looks a mess." I said joking.
"No babe. You are the person that holds our family together. Nothing was working right without you here. The kids were acting strange and I didn't feel like myself without you. I know that I don't tell you that very often, but I love you so much." Shawn said making me tear up.
"I love you too." I said fighting back my tears and kissing my husband.

I woke up the next morning with the smell of bacon hitting my nose. That made me a little confused at first, because Shawn was not the type of man that could cook. He tried a few times, but it always ended up in disaster. Then I figured my mother or sister was downstairs in my kitchen. It took me a few minutes to go downstairs and walk to the kitchen, and to my surprise, it was not anyone from my family cooking.
"Good morning Beyoncé. Are you hungry?"
"Good morning Gloria." I said stepping in.
"Babe why you didn't call me? I would have helped you." Shawn came behind me to help me walk to the chair.
"I'm fine. I had no idea you would be here Gloria."
"Well, someone needs to cook for Shawn and the kids and look at your house. This place looks a mess. Someone needs to clean up everything."
"I was released yesterday. I didn't have the time to clean up yet." I said annoyed.
"That's okay, I can do it."
"It's not necessary."
"Well, my son and grandkids shouldn't live in this mess. It's not bother at all for me."
"Mom." Shawn said eyeing his mother.
"Do whatever makes you happy Gloria." I said rolling my eyes.
"Mommy can we play video games?" Brandon asked before Gloria could say anything more. I was thankful for that, because I wasn't in the mood to argue with her. I wanted to enjoy breakfast and then spend time with my family.
I couldn't even understand why she was here. Shawn and the kids usually had lunch with her once a month or the kids spent the weekend at her place, but she never comes over, because that would mean that she had to interact with me. She only called me once while I was in the hospital. She didn't even bother to come and visit me.
