The next morning, Juline separated the triplets and gave them each a floor to themselves, in hopes to keep the yelling to a minimum.
And since Lex and Bex had manifested, but Foxfire was on hiatus, the Dizznees decided to have their new mentors come to keep them distracted all day,
Juline could've easily taught Lex, but she wanted him to get to know his mentor more, or something like that. Rex wasn't really paying attention to the details.
Rex decided it would be best to avoid all that, so he didn't have to see ability training.
Rex was not looking forward to going back to Foxfire - he'd have to do all that ability detecting, but know that it'd never work - assuming that Dex was right, and Rex was, indeed, Talentless.
But Rex had to face the cold, heavy truth no matter how much he wanted to, because he knew it was true, despite whoever denied it.
He'd never get an ability . . . . It was starting to get easier to think about, which was nice, because he couldn't just not think about it.
He realized that he should probably have asked Dex what Keefe had had to do with it, but he wasn't ready to talk to Dex just yet.
Dex had gone over to visit with Sophie, to make sure she was okay after the shock of Keefe leaving.
Rex understood that Dex was feeling a little betrayed, since he had been spending a lot of time with Keefe lately. Rex almost felt sorry for him.
Almost.
