(Y/n)'s POV

His calling came before the sun had risen above the shadowed peaks of the trees. The message came in the form of an irritating individual banging against the bedroom door– undoubtedly Shigaraki. "Anything to report?"

He leans against the kitchen counter and watches with narrowed eyes.

"You're an idiot," I pause, surveying the pathetic food options within the cabinets. "Yep, that about covers it."

His lips twist downward as he pushes off from his slacker stance. "Shut up."

Sighing, I face the living room and the swirling warp gate within it. "My report is classified, and I'd rather walk." I step around the gate and leave the apartment. Shigaraki sighs loudly but steps through the gate while muttering obscenities I don't care to hear.

The twists and turns of the streets offer time to reshape information into a small list.

1) Midoriya is in love with a hospital bed.

2) Bakubrat is a difficult adversary– verbally and physically.

3) The idiots will be proceeding with the sports festival.

The league hideout is as dim and hollow, yet the scent of alcohol and wood taints every surface. Kurogiri is nowhere in sight as I venture behind the bar area.

"C'mon Clumsy. He hates when you're late," Shigaraki sneers, keeping pace on near-silent feet behind me.

My gaze meets his, a blank threat clear on my face. "Don't speak or I'll cut out your tongue."

A tremble echoes beneath my skin, yet the words were even. Wisely, he turns back to the bar– most likely bored with the lack of entertainment.

The TV whirrs in the center of the shadow-ridden backroom. My limbs grow stiff, locking up with each second the phantom presence studies my soul. "Hello, sir."

"Begin."

The words were unspoken. Failure was not an option.

Welcome to Coming Up with random bullshit! I'm your host, (Y/n), and today we are massively screwed.

"The sports festival will continue as planned, yet security measures will be elevated due to Shigaraki's attack. Additionally, there's a student in class 1A that has an incredibly powerful quirk. It seems as though he struggles with control."

I feel like I'm snitching.

Disgusting.

"Interesting," his voice slices through the air, "Keep an eye on him." A huffed laugh crackles through the speaker, "The fools will see it as a sign of weakness to cancel it. I want you to make the top three; however, do not stand out."

"Yes, sir."

"Is that everything?"

Disappointment drips from his tone, dragging its cold fingers across my skin. My eyes lock onto the wood of the floor; memorizing each dip and crevice in the material. "Yes, sir."

"You know what to expect."

My heart screams in its cage, begging to run now. It's almost funny. There's nowhere I can run.

No room for weakness.

"Yes, sir."

The TV fades to black with a deafening click, ending the meeting just as quickly as it began. Even Shigaraki throws me a pitying look as I leave the hideout through the rusted side door.
