POV Kenma

With slow steps I walked up to the glass door of the flower shop and laid both hands on the handle. I pushed it down but my gaze went up, as I realized, that the door didn't move a single inch. My brows knit together and I removed my hands, digging them into my pockets quickly. It was monday, why would the shop be closed? The sudden heat and embarrassment made my head glow and I looked around, to make sure that no one saw me during my failed attempt to get into the shop. My eyes stopped at a sign hanging next to the door.
'Today we are closed due maintenance.'
A sigh escaped my mouth and I pulled my phone out. There had to be another shop. With quick taps I searched another flower shop up.

I stepped out of the subway and walked up the stairs. The crowded people, shoulders rubbing onto each other while walking. The subway was a place, where I didn't want to stay for too long. But somehow the strangers and the quietness while sitting in your seat and listening to music were enjoyable. As the fresh breeze from outside hit my face I inhaled. I still had a few hours until practice.
The shop appeared in front of me and I walked inside. A small bell above my head rang and I let my gaze wander all over the shop. No one was there, but the shop was open, which meant someone had to appear soon.
All of the colors and the smell of the flowers made a calming feeling fill my heart and I relaxed. The lady in the other shop always knew which flowers I would get. My eyes searched for yellow tulips.
"May can I help you?" The sudden voice from behind made me jerk lightly and I turned around. I looked up to the person, a crooked smile was laying on his lips. I broke the eye contact.
"I was looking for yellow tulips." I said with a low tone.
The black haired boy placed his index finger on his chin and looked around, the hazel eyes hovering over my head.
"I'm afraid, that we don't have any left." He said and walked pass me. I followed him with quiet steps. As he stopped I backed up a little.
"We have orange and red ones, if that's okay." He said and turned around.
"I will have 10 red ones then." I said nodding, not looking into his eyes. The guy pulled the flowers out of the big bucket and walked up to the counter.
"Are these for someone special?" He asked. I inhaled and sighed silently.
"They're for my mother." I said quietly and waited for him to finish packing the tulips. As he wrapped them I looked up to catch a glance of his face. His black hair was messy, covering a part of his forehead.
"Are yellow tulips her favorite flowers?" He asked.
"No. There are no specific ones that she likes. I personally find them pretty." I answered. Suddenly the hazel eyes looked up to me squinting.
"Here you go." He said and handed me the bouquet smiling big. I took it out of his hand and looked at it. With my right hand I placed the money on the counter.
"Thanks." I said and turned around, walking out of the shop and loosing myself in my thoughts. Out of a sudden his smile crossed my mind and I waved the picture away.

"These are so beautiful Kenma." She said while sniffing on the tulips, eyes closed. I watched her, smiling.
"I'm glad you like them mom."
She looked up at me and tilted her head slightly. "This time they are not yellow I am surprised."
I shrugged my shoulders and leaned back. "They didn't have any left."
A laugh escaped her mouth and I looked at her. My body got wrapped with warmth. The dark long hair moved as her shoulders wiggled while laughing. The cables all over her, connected to her body moved in synchronization.
My mine dropped slowly. The look of her laying in this big hospital bed made everything so much harder to enjoy.
"There maybe is a person who likes yellow tulips as much as you, they might bought them all." She said and I lifted the corner of my mouth quickly. My head turned to the direction of the door as it opened. The nurse walked in with a big beam on her face.
"Good afternoon Mrs. Kozume." She said and started fiddling around the patches all over her arm. "Are we ready for the daily check up?" She asked. My mother nodded, looking at me.
"Kenma do me a favor and put the flowers into a vase." I stood up from the chair. The nurse looked at me as she moved the bed from it's place.
"I will leave for practice." I said and watched my mother getting pushed out of the room. She didn't hear me, I was too quiet.
With slow steps I grabbed a vase out of the cabinet and filled it with water. While watching the liquid rise in the container my thoughts started flowing again.
Was there really someone who bought all the tulips? I shook my head. Who would even like yellow tulips? No one buys them except for me.
I placed the flowers onto the table next to the others and grabbed my bag.
"I will see you tomorrow." I whispered into the empty room and walked out of the door.

Okay now first of all: Hi! How are you? I hope you are having an amazing day.
Secondly: I started this story because I feel really empty without writing and this plot came up in my mind today and I was like: why not?
And to the people asking were 'Fatal Escape' is. I am so sorry, but at the moment I am having a quite stressful time.
Writing the plot of this story is way easier than 'Fatal Escape's. I enjoy writing very much because it's somehow a way to escape from reality, even just for a moment. And I just need more calm time to get the plot of 'Fatal Escape' done. I hope you all can understand that.

And yeah I have a thing for customers falling in love with some cashiers, don't come at me. 😩

I hope you will enjoy this fluffy, angsty romantic piece :) Byeee
