It’s just meters away from our house hence I decided to work here. And besides, I have fun arranging the flowers as much as I enjoy talking to the customer as they wait for ate Hailey to do their flower bouquet.
I chuckled. “Got up so early, ate Hailey, at baka need mo na ng help ko,” I replied with a joking tone.
She laughed and shook her head. “Hindi pa naman ngayon, Jael,” she said. “But I do want to chat with you while waiting for the customers to come,” she told me, her smile is remains on her lips.
I grinned, “perpekto!” I exclaimed and took a seat beside ate Hailey.
She let out a soft chuckle.
I shook my head no. “Hindi pa po.
“Pero mas maganda parin iyong may full time na trabaho ka talaga, Jael,” she softly said. “Iyong malaki ang sahod mo, gano’n ba.”
Napailing-iling ako dahil sa sinabi nito. “Naku, ate Hailey!
She sighed and smiled softly at me. “Eh kung ganiyan ang gusto mo, Jael,” she said.
The place were surrounded by any different kinds of flowers. There are roses, tulips, chrysanthemum, white roses, and more. The place is not that big and not that small. Kumbaga, sakto lang.
There are only me and ate Hailey. Mamaya pa ang ibang staff rito. Depende sa duty ng mga ito.
At dahil parang regular na yata ako dito sa Shop, whole day akong nandito at tinutulungan si ate Hailey.
Sometimes, It’s tiring but hell, it’s a fun work.
“Anyways, ate,” I called her. “I just knew from Tine that you’re receiving order thru call na,” I told her. “I mean… you know, reservation ba.”
Nagliwanag ang kaniyang mukha at napapalakpak. “Buti nalang at sinabi mo, Jael!” she exclaimed. She took blue, white, and red roses then went back to me. “Here,” she said then put the roses on the table just in front of me. “A customer ordered these roses yesterday from me but I forgot to arrange these, so do it, please,” she told me with her soft tone. “He’ll be here… uhm, maybe next hour.”
