The village at the top of the mountain was softly illuminated and bustling with strange creatures that were thriving in the nightlife; it was a huge contrast to the darkness of the forest below.

You and Mando dragged each other through the busy streets, your hands still tightly cuffed together. You were the only people that don't appear to be having a good time—you weren't. You both stood close, practically touching each other's shoulder pads in order to keep the cuffs from getting any tighter.

Walking back up the mountain really pushed the limit on how tight the cuffs could get around your wrists. It could get tighter, but you fear that if it were to tighten any more, you would end up losing your wrist. Picking the lock wasn't an option. The cuffs could only be unlocked with a special remote that only Jai had.

You thought that Mando was going to kill you during the hike up the mountain. Your eyesight is terrible at night and you couldn't stop falling, dragging Mando along down with you. Each time you fell the cuffs got tighter, and the more you two bickered. Eventually you came to an agreement to ignore each other from now on and so far you haven't spoken a word to him.
Although you agreed not to say anything, you wondered where he was going. The child was alone in the dark forest below. Who knows what hungry creatures could be lurking in the shadows around him. Not only that, but he is also alone with Jai in the forest. You could be in the forest looking for him, but instead you're up here, cuffed to a mandalorian.

"Where are we going?" you broke your silence.

He kept his gaze straight and didn't spare you a glance. "To get these cuffs off." he answered.

"Where is that?"

"My ship."

You bit your lip as you heavily contemplated on whether you should dare to ask your next question, but your eagerness to get back in those woods overpowered your fear of the Mandalorian getting angry at you. "How long will it take?"

"I thought we agreed to not speak to each other?" he finally glanced at you, turning his head sharply as he does.

You slightly jumped at this sudden raise of tone, but the child's life was on the line and you didn't have time to deal with his attitude. You needed an answer. "May I remind you that I saved your life back there?" you pointed back with your free hand, returning the same harsh tone he spoke to you in. "I deserve an answer."

He came to a sudden quick halt in the middle of his tracks and turned to you, his helmet facing yours. "I don't owe you anything." he clarified bitterly. "If it wasn't for you, the child wouldn't be in danger."

"Oh and you think I would just hand him over to you? A Mandalorian?" you stepped closer to him.

"Yes," he said sternly. "you would hand him to me one way or another, Valkrien."

You both spoke each other's names bitterly. It was like an extra hint of saltiness was added as your names left your lips. You began to wonder why out of all the people you could've been handcuffed to, it had to be a Mandalorian.

You stood there in bitter silence, staring at each other as the tension growing by the second. Both of your fists were tightly clenched and you could sense that he's on the edge of risking his hand just to throw a punch at you. You're starting to consider the risk as well.
