"Thankfully the ambulances got there on time and were able to save you two. I thought I'd lost you both." Sapnap said, after explaining to Dream what had happened. Dream looked over to George, who was still asleep, knowing he'd almost gotten the boy he loved killed because of his selfishness, riddled him with guilt. A nurse came in then and checked both boys, she unhooked some machines from Dream as he was awake, and left. Dream sat up, looking at Sapnap, "I fucked up bad, Nick." He sighed, knowing this whole situation was his fault. "I didn't know how much it would hurt him. I love him, Nick, I really do." "And he loves you, Clay, that's why it hurt him so much." "I'm gonna do it, Nick, I'm gonna ask him. I never want to come that close to losing him ever again." A soft smile grew on Sapnap's face.
The two boys talked for a while, waiting for George to wake up. The nurse came back and told Dream he was okay to walk around a bit if he wanted to. He and Nick went for a short walk and when they came back, George was sitting up and talking to the nurse. She left when she saw Dream and Sapnap come back, and Dream's eyes immediately filled with tears. He ran to George, engulfing him in a hug, George instantly hugged back, much to Dream's relief. Nick watched from a distance, a few tears of his own running down his cheeks. Dream looked over to him and nodded, Sapnap gave him a reassuring look and left the two boys to talk.
"I'm so sorry George. I'm so fucking sorry." Dream said, tears spilling down his cheeks. "I just didn't realize how much it would hurt you. I would never hurt you on purpose, Georgie."
"It's okay, Clay, I overreacted, I know you didn't mean to hurt me. I should have made it more clear. I love you, Clay. I want to love you forever,"
"I love you too, George, I never want to come close to losing you ever again, so George, will you be my boyfriend?" Dream asked, a slight smile on his lips. "Of course I will Clay, this is what I've wanted for years,"
"I've wanted this for a long time too, George, I hated how close you were to being mine, we just never made it official, I was just scared that I'd lose you. But now I know that as long as I have you, I'm never letting you go again," Dream gushed.
Dream opened his arms and George cuddled into his chest, George was overjoyed that Dream had asked him to be his boyfriend, but he couldn't help but wonder, surely he wouldn't go behind his back again, would he?
George's mind flashed back to the evening of the night Dream was stood on the roof, less than five hours before their fight.
Flashback
George smiled as he, Dream, and Sapnap got out of the taxi, and entered the club. He was wearing black ripped jeans, fishnets, and a white crop top with a light jacket over. Dream and Sapnap both wore white shirts and black jeans. As soon as they reached the bar, Dream pulled three stools together and ordered shots for himself and Nick, and a rum and coke for George. Nick and Dream were on their 4th shot each when they decided to go and dance. George wanted to just stay at the bar, he gave Dream a kiss on the cheek before he and Sapnap went off on their own, leaving George, who ordered another drink.
Two drinks later, and Nick and Dream still hadn't come back to George. He looked around and saw them doing shots with a group of girls. George sighed, the drink making him tired, decided to text Dream that he was leaving, and call a taxi to take him home.
When George arrived home, he changed into comfier clothes and sat in the living room, putting on a random movie, drifting in and out of sleep. He awoke not long later to his phone ringing, he picked it up and it was Nick,
"Hey George, Dream and I are in a taxi on the way back now, he's smashed. Check what I sent you." Nick slurred, before abruptly ending the call, George, slightly confused, saw that Nick had sent him a picture. He opened it, his phone falling out of his hand, it was of Dream, with a blonde girl straddling him, and making out with him in the club. George didn't know what to do, sure, he and Dream weren't officially together, but they weren't exactly single, ready for the taking either.
George jumped as the front door opened. He saw Nick come through, holding Dream up, Dream was out cold. Nick didn't say anything to George and brought Dream to his room before coming back to the living room and taking a seat on the couch beside George. He wrapped an arm around Goerge's shoulder, rubbing his back. He pulled the smaller boy into a hug as tears began to drip from his cheeks. "I don't get it, Nick, I thought he loved me." George sniffed, wiping his eyes as he pulled away from the hug. "He does, George, you're everything to him. He's hammered, I know it's no excuse but he would never do something like that sober. In all honesty, she pushed herself onto him." George sighed, he knew Nick was talking sense, but it still hurt a lot. "Hey, why don't you just calm down for a little while and I'll go bring Dream some water to try to sober him up before you two talk." George just nodded and Nick left the room.
