Nolan told Mick to take more time with Marla Lynn and Marty. He, Marva Lynn, Kyle, Laurie and Maura were headed to the prison rodeo. Marva Lynn said that prison rodeo is for Jack Favor, who is wrongly convicted for shooting a couple. One guy Delbert is disqualified for slaughtering the bull, and the guy name Jack Crawley, who became the artist, rides very good. At prison, Nolan and Marva Lynn visit Jack after he paints Jimi Hendrix.
At Nolan and Marva Lynn's house, Lisa's husband Ed visit Marva Lynn as Lisa is at Kim Molitor's house for making a pottery. Ed believes in art as did Jack. Marva Lynn and Ed were headed to prison the next day teaching art class with Jack and the rest of the prisoners. Jack was released from good behavior.
Jack had his job at the elementary school, paints the whole wall until it burns down, and Jack was arrested. Marva Lynn was frequently mad and she never saw Jack again. Jack is sentenced to life in prison.
Paul, Grady, Ed, Fran, Bill, Mick, Roy, Fred, Karl, Milt, Gary, Dave, Bobby, Ron, Wally, Stu, Doug and Jeff were reading the newspaper about Jack's life sentence and Nolan was upset about Marva Lynn's charm.
