"Class, we will start a early-year project!" The teacher announced. Groans errupted from students everywhere.
"There will be partners!" She added. Some ''yays''.
"Mhm. The person next to you."
Now I groaned.
This was one of the classes where I sat next to JACK. Can my life get any worse?
"Now, the project will be about smiliarites in living. You two will study how eachother lives and compare/contrast them. It's easy." She smiled.
Similarities in living, eh? Jack and I don't have any.
"I'll let you and your partners take this class period to start discussing." She said. Everyone immediately started talking.
"So, which house do you want to work at first?" Jack asked me.
"What do you mean?"
"Well, we have to study how we live, so do you want to study me first, and I, u?" Jack asked.
"Um.. let's do you first." I said. He smirked.
"You want to do me?" He raised his eyebrow. My eyes widened and I blushed in embaressment.
"Not what I meant." I mumbled, turning away.
"Alright. So after school, come over to my house and we can get started." He said.
"Okay. But I should tell my sister first." I reminded him.
"Oh, yea right. You have a sister. Do you remember my address?" He asked.
"I think so." I said.
"Of course you do." He whispered.
"Oh, students," The teacher spoke, "what I mean by 'living' isn't just what they do at their house. I mea what they do all the time, outisde of school and home."
Shit.
"Looks like we are going to be spending a whole lot more time together." He whispered in my ear. I groaned and layed my head on he desk.

"Anna! I'm going to work on a project at a friend's house." I told her.
"Oh, cool! Me too! I need you to drop me off on the way." She said.
"Alright. Let's go." I said.
I dropped her off at the address she told me, which isn't far from Jack's house. Jack isn't living in poverty or anything, but he isn't as lucky as me. I drove in front of his house and was astonished.
I stand corrected.
He lived in a mansion!
Okay, well, not a mansion but he lived in a better house than I did. I turned off my car and walked to his front door. I rang his door bell. A couple seconds later, a little girl opened the door. Emma.
"ELSA?????!!!!" She yelled.
"Um, yea. It's me." I said.
"AHHH!" She squealed and hugged me tightly. I giggled and hugged her back.
"I missed you, too." I said. We pulled apart when Jack came.
"Hello, Elsa." He greeted.
"Hi." I said back.
"Why didn't you tell me she was coming?" Emma crossed her arms.
"I'm sorry. I didn't know it was so important." He said.
"Of course it is! Elsa is the greatest," Emma said. She turned to face me. "By the way, I love the new look."
"Thank you." I smiled.
"Well, come on in." Jack said. I walked into his house and he closed the door.
"So, what happened with the house?" I asked.
"Oh, well we did some additions to it." He replied.
"Looks nice." I complimented.
"Where are your parents?" I asked.
"Oh, you don't know?"
"Know what?" I asked.
"My parents have the same job as yours. In fact, they work for the same company. They are gone for a long time for buisness but they send money home." He answered.
"Oh." I exhaled.
"Yea. Crazy, right?" He said.
"I guess," I started, "Let's get started on the project." We sat down on his couch. Jack told Emma to go do her homework, which she did. I took out a notebook and pen. When I looked back up and Jack, he was pretty close to me.
"Um, excuse me?" I cleared my throat.
"Oh! Sorry." He scooched a bit away from me.
"Alright, so what do you do outside of school." I asked.
"Hang with the ladies." He smirked. I frowned. I wrote down: Hangs out with friends.
"And?"
"I take care of Emma. You know, help with homework, make her dinner, watch movies with her, take her to the mall, that kind of stuff." He said, with a more serious tone. I wrote what he said down. Made me think of Anna and I. How I wish I had the nerve to do those things with her.
"Anything else?" I asked.
"No, nothing social wise." He replied.
"My turn." He pulled out his notebook and pen.
"What do you do outside of school?" He asked.
"I do homework and I study." I said.
"Okay. No be serious, what do you do?" He asked.
"I am being serious, that's all that I do after school or on weekends." I said.
"You don't hang out with friends?" He asked.
"I-I..." I stuttered, "I don't have friends."
"What about Anna?" He asked.
"We don't hang out like that. We don't talk. I don't have the kind of realtionship you have with Emma with Anna." I said.
"Why?" He asked.
"I don't know." My voice broke. "I'm just not that person. But I'm fine, really. It's okay."
"You need a life, Elsa." He said.
"I do. This is my new life." I corrected. He scoffed.
"You aren't living." He said. I am about to break. Don't break, Elsa, don't break! Don't feel.
"Whatever. Like you would care." I blurted. He stiffened for a split second, but then loosened.
I heard him whisper something, but I could quite hear it clearly. I decided to let it go.
"Are we done for today?" I asked.
"I guess." He answered.
"Cool. Tell Emma I said bye." I started walking to the door.
"What? You're not going to say bye to me?" He asked. I stopped walking for a second, but continued walking. I left without saying another word.
