The Return of the Hyuga (Nightly's continuation)

Innocent

- -POV- -

"Naruto Uzumaki, you are under arrest" said the Anbu that was arm locking the confused Naruto. There were three other with him.
They knocked him out and brought him back to the village, reporting the encounter to the Hokage.

"Lady Hokage, Naruto was found with an Akatsuki member." Said one of them.
Tsunade was concerned.
"What was he doing?" She asked with a motherly tone.
"We will find that out after the interrogation"
Tsunade sighed "Fine" she said. The anbu disappeared away, leaving a concerned Hokage in her office, her hands on her chin in a thinking pose.
"What were you doing Naruto?"

- -Naruto's POV- -
I'm innocent. I keep telling them that but they kept going. "I'm going to break you". What's the point if I'm innocent.
"I'M INNOCENT! I'M NOT SOME STUPID SPY OR GIVING INTEL! PLEASE!... Please believe me..."
They stopped trying to get it out of me so they then called the interrogation corps who put me inside some device and they went through my mind. My head. My memories.
My past isn't pretty. The insults, the abuse, the ignoring but it gets colourful after some time. Ichiraku, Hinata, Iruka sensei saving me, team 7, my win against Neji and Kiba. But they didn't care about that, they only cared to verify themselves and they were willing to walk all over my life to achieve it.
As they soon arrived at my first meeting with Konan they saw that I wasn't there to help them or join them. Why would you think that? They saw I was there for Konan only. They saw I was looking to better myself. They saw I wanted redemption from a friend.
"He's...innocent?" I can already hear one say.
"No there has to be more!" One would screamed out and keep looking only to find my memories end there.

I woke up in the hospital, I guess interrogation takes a heavy toll on the body of the interrogated. Nobody came to visit me. Maybe they kept everything up tight and secret to make sure I don't receive anymore unnecessary glances. Or maybe they only cared about their own image and that's why they kept it a secret.

"Hey Naruto" someone called as I turned towards the open door. It was Lady Tsunade.
I didn't answerback, I just looked at her.
"I think you deserve an apology from me and the interrogation corps for not believing you at first."
"Thank you" I answered back, nodding with a slight smile.
"You may continue your training with the Akatsuki member. We saw the conditions and we are ready to give you a day partner-"
"I already have someone else in mind but Thank you very much Granny Tsunade. You don't- well you probably do know why this means so much to me" I chuckled.
"Only I and the interrogation corps knows, your reasons are safe with us" She said confidently.
"Thank you....uh how long do I have to stay here?" I asked with a bit of embarrassment.
"Oh you can leave if you want to. It was this or a prison cell." She chuckled giving me a reassuring smile but it quickly became a serious face.
"You will be put on watched will training by one Anbu agent. Don't act surprised when you sensed the," She said before giving me a hug and leaving.

"Welp, no time to waste. Let's get us a partner!"
