- -Hinata's POV- -

"You have been promoted..."

- -Naruto's POV- -

Alright! Day partner. Konan said someone with good ninjutsu and Taijutsu with no genjutsu. Well that eliminates Sasuke and Neji. Sasuke has the sharingan and Neji only does taijutsu. They would also get suspicious about my sudden urge to train and ask a lot of questions. Lee and Kiba would be too annoying and Kiba and I are still on bad terms. Uhh, Ino and Sakura would definitely say no and even punch me through buildings. Hinata..... Shino would be cryptic about it and even if his fighting style is similar to Konan's, it's very specific and not broad enough. Same thing applies with Shikamaru. So that leaves...Tenten?
As I looked at all the scratched names, it only left Tenten's name unscracthed. Ironic that I left her for last but in the end, it makes senses. She has her scroll weapon ninjutsu and trains under Might Guy, a taijutsu expert and probably has sparred with Neji and Lee who are also strong taijutsu fighters. And I'm positive she doesn't hate me. Hell I barely noticed her around anyway. She's the only one. Let's hope she accepts...

- -Tenten's POV- -
Another day of comforting the still crying Sakura. She's been like this for almost a week now. It's sooo boring. For once I'm down to go on a mission with Lee and sensei. Atleast their ramblings about youth or their weird competition is more entertaining then this. Why are there no missions?!
"Tenten! If you don't want to be here, you can just leave!" Ino exclaimed, breaking my train of thought. I think my face showed an expression of boredom while I was thinking. I sat down next to Sakura and lied saying I did care about her and patted Sakura on the head and slightly brushing her ruined pink hair.
"Naruto is such an asshole oh my god" I said. I didn't really mean those words. Seriously, my opinion on Naruto was just that he is just a knucklehead that has guts and most likely had a reason to leave the date. With Sakura, I could understand that.
"Speak of the devil" Kiba said standing up from the bench. I looked over where he was facing and saw Naruto there standing, hands in his pockets, looking at us. Wait, he's looking at me?
He tried to talked but Kiba beat him to it.
"What the hell do you want now? Didn't I tell you to never come close to us or her!?" Kiba screamed as he started to walk towards Naruto who didn't even flinch. But Kiba, was stopped by Shino who stood in between the two boys.
"What is your business here Naruto?" Shino asked in his cryptic way as usual.
"I want to talk to Tenten in private-" Naruto said looking towards me.
"Tenten!? What the hell-" Ino tried to reply back but she was cut off mid sentence.
"Mind your business for once Ino!" Naruto screamed "Tenten may I talked to you?" He asked towards me.
I nodded and walked away with him. What does he want with me? I asked myself.

"Sooo......what's up?" I asked awkwardly, hands behind my back.
"Will you train with me?" He told me directly which surprised when I heard his proposal.
"Train?" I asked confused. Train is a very vague word.
"I want you to be my daily sparring partner" He answered, still as direct and serious.
"Oh uh" I was pretty speechless. I wouldn't think Naruto would ask me to train.
"You can think it out, just give me an answer tom-"
"I'll do it" I cut him off.
"Alright. Uh, why not right now? You are not busy right?" He asked a bit awkwardly. I don't think he thought I would accept and say yes.
"Oh please, anything is better than this whole Sakura drama" I told him honestly.

"Alright, let's go!"
