Nightwing x Zatanna

Chapter 25~ New Year's

It was now New Year's eve at the watchtower. The Grayson family had been staying at the Watchtower with everyone else in the team and League.

Artemis and Megan turned out to be pregnant along with Zatanna. The magician was happy she had someone to share the experience with this time.

At the current moment it was an hour until midnight, the younger children like Andrew and Steph were asleep but their parents promised to wake them up a few minutes before midnight.

Bruce had surprisingly had a few drinks and since it had been a while since he drank alcohol, he was a bit drunk.

The males of the original Young Justice team were slightly tipsy too, except for Kaldur.

The boys were drunkingly singing along to Cross My Heart by Mariana's Trench, at the karkoke machine they had.

"Take me with you, I start to miss you. Take me home I don't wanna be alone tonight," Roy and Connor sang along.

Wally and Dick then started singing, "And I do want to show you. I will run to you till I can't stand on my own anymore."

Dick grinned at his laughing wife as he and the guys continued the song.

"Cross my heart and hope to die!!"

The former Robin went to his siblings and ruffled their hairs, "I'm surprised you're not tired Dami."

Dick and Barbara constantly teased Damian and called him that nickname that he hated.

"shut up Richard!" Damian yelled before going over to his youngest sister and nephew to check on them.

It got closer to midnight, Nightwing pulled his wife close to him.

"I know this isn't our wedding anniversary but it's nearly been 8 years since we got together," Dick grinned.

"Wow I can't believe I put up with you for that long. And since then we've got married, had a child and another 9ne on the way, and we've been through our fair share of bad fights and experiences" the magician cupped her husband's face.

They woke up Andy, while Diana woke up Stephanie. Andy started watching the clock counting down.

It was time to count down. "10...9...8...7...6...5... 4...3...2...1...Happy New year!" Every shouted.

The former Zatara pulled her husband to her and kissed him, exactly like their first kiss, 8 years ago to the minute. The former Tema did the same with their partners. It was a tradition that they had been doing since then if the couple were still together.

All the couples kissed.

The celebration died down after a bit. The group of people began to shrink as more people began to go to their rooms in the watchtower.

Zatanna and Dick said goodnight to their friends and family as they carried a sleepy Andy, who was cuddling his favorite stuffed toy, back to their room.

The couple changed into pyjamas and changed their son too carefully as he was now fully asleep. Zee and Dick laid on either side of Andrew on the bed and fell asleep with him.
