Nightwing x Zatanna

Chapter 9: All one big family

Dick woke up with his wife in his arms next to him. Smiling to himself, he got his phone and checked the date. "20th May. Happy Birthday baby." He kissed Zatanna's head. Her eyes fluttered open slowly in response. She yawned, "morning love." Zee cuddled up to him, "what's today?"

"It's May.. 20th," he smiled happily "Happy birthday Zee."

The female giggled and smiled, "thank you Dick."

Dick got dressed, into plain black jeans and blue T-shirt, along with Zatanna, who wore a flannel top and black skirt. They made their way to the nearest Zetatube to the Watchtower.

There was silence.

The male took his wife to the lounge in the Watchtower. Then suddenly all the heroes jumped out, cheering and shouting Happy birthday to the magician.

Zee gasped in happiness, the room was heavily decorated with 19th birthday decorations. Artemis and the girls hugged Zatanna, Dick smiled and went to the guys.

Zatanna smiled and sat down.

"Ready to open your presents?" Zee excitingly said, jumping up and down.

"Yes Megan," the raven female smiled as the rest sat down. Richard sat down next to his wife, holding her hand.

The first gift was from Artemis and Wally, it was a new outfit. "It was Arty's idea," Wally commented. Zee giggled, "i can tell."

The second gift from Kaldur and Raquel. Zatanna opened the present and took out a blue bikini set, "Thanks Kaldur, Raquel."

The third present was from Connor and Megan. "We thought you would want a variety," Megan grinned, the gift was a lot of different makeup.

Roy and Jade gave Zatanna a dress, that was white and red, "your dress for our wedding when we get married." Zatanna smiled, "alright Jade."

Her father-in-law and mother-in-law gave their daughter-in-law a new superhero outfit that would obey all the magic she'll casr on it and that changed to her body shape, now that she was 7 months pregnant.

Black Canary and Green Arrow gave the magician new tights and a leather jacket. Hawkman and Hawkwoman gave her a new jacket too. Tim and Cassie gave Zatanna, as her eighth gift, some new phone charms. Jason, her brother-in-law, gave her a new outfit as well. Damian gave his sister-in-law some new jewellery. Clark and Lois gave the raven haired magician, a new dress.

Zee's dad gave his daughter some new jewellery, clothes and makeup too.

And lastly, her handsome husband gave his wife some sets of jewellery that matched with her engagement ring and various different outfits.

As the day came to an end, the birthday girl was asleep on the couch. Dick talked to his dad, asking if they could come for dinner on the Sunday coming up, before picking up Zee and taking her home.
