A/N: another request! thank you to MeltingMinds for giving me inspiration for this book <3 ~CJ

Kuroo and Kenma had gotten married. After 7 years, they f i n a l l y got married. Bokuto and Akaashi attended the wedding of course, they were their best friends and best men. But, even after that, and being best friends themselves, they felt out of place. Neither of them made a move to confess their feelings to each other, since they're both oblivious about the other's feelings. They kept stealing glances at the other all night, without the other noticing. That's basically how it went all night. All the way up until after the newlyweds' first dance.

Bokuto was watching the two dance with pride. He was Kuroo's wingman for the past 7 years, how could he not be? Even with the sense of pride mostly taking over him, he couldn't shake the feeling of.. sadness. He wanted that to be him and Akaashi, twirling on the dance floor with the biggest smiles on their faces. He shot a glance at Akaashi, who was standing next to him, just to find him locking gold eyes with blue. He blushed and looked away, he didn't expect Akaashi to be looking at him, especially with the same kind of emotion in his eyes at Bokuto was feeling. He was gonna do it, he was determined to ask Akaashi to dance. But not now. Right now, it's Kuroo and Kenna's time.

The dance ended, with a bunch of whistles and applause from all the people watching, when Kenma made a beeline for Akaashi. "You need to ask him out already, Akaashi. Don't think I didn't see the looks you kept giving him the entire time I was dancing." Akaashi was slightly startled, saying he didn't expect Kenma to appear behind him, much less say something about Bokuto. He turned around, locking eyes with Kenma. "There's no reason to ruin what we already have, if it's healthy. If he's happy then so am I." Kenma rolled his eyes, resisting the urge to smack the raven haired male upside the head. "If you don't then I will." He then walked away towards his husband, who just happened to be talking with Bokuto.

"Hello, my dear husband. Having fun? I see you brought a friend." Kuroo said, smirking, seeing that Kenma had Akaashi behind him. Kenma saw the smirk directed behind him and glanced back to see Akaashi shortly behind him. 'If he's not gonna do it himself, then I'm just gonna have to give him a little.. push.' As Akaashi walked up to the couple and Bokuto, Kenma smoothly steeped out of the way, and as soon as Akaashi made it to a good distance where he could accomplish his plan, he pushed Akaashi into Bokuto. Bokuto, having prince-like reflexes, caught Akaashi and pulled him into his chest like one of those "dramatic Disney scenes." (A/N: i legit quotes the disney thing from the request itself💀)

Akaashi felt his face start heating up, and he knew his face was turning red. He looked up and saw it on Bokuto's face, and attempted to laugh it off. "Whoops, I'm sorry! Kinda tripped over my feet there.." Bokuto looked down and flashed a million dollar smile, pink dusting his cheeks as well. "Yeah, it's alright, I'm not worried about it." They looked at each other for what seemed like forever, but was probably like two seconds, before Kuroo cleared his throat. "You gonna stay like that forever or are you gonna ask him to dance?" He said, aiming the question at Bokuto. "Huh?" He looked down, noticing that he was still holding Akaashi. "Oh, uh, yeah." He let go of Akaashi before clearing his throat.

"Akaashi." "Yes, Bokuto-san?" "Your hand looks heavy. May I hold it for you as I lead this next dance?" Kuroo and Kenma both bursted into laughter, almost rolling on the floor. Akaashi looked down, another blush showing up on his face, then decided to take the risk. He looked back up, rolled his eyes, then pulled him onto the dance floor, leaving the laughing messes that were Kuroo and Kenma behind. He grabbed Bokuto's hand, in the position that way Bokuto could lead, and they twirled around the dance floor. Bokuto tripped up a couple times, eventually giving up. "Why do you have to look so pretty?? I can't concentrate :,)" Akaashi looked up at him and started laughing, similar to Kuroo and Kenma approximately 5 minutes ago.

They tried dancing again, but eventually Bokuto gave up, for good. He was out of breath, bending over and holding one hand in front of Akaashi. "Wait a minute, I need to breathe. Being with you takes my breath away." Akaashi started going into a fit of giggles, making Bokuto blush. "I'm gonna go get drinks, do you want anything?" "Yeah. A pair of fucking lungs." Akaashi laughed, then pulled him up, and blushed before kissing his nose. "I'll be right back then, go find us a table. It won't be hard looking for an owl." Bokuto was scared that if he tried to speak, he'd start screaming, so he just nodded and walked off, looking for a table.

Bokuto eventually found one that hadn't been messed with, relatively close to the dance floor. He sat down and tried to comprehend what happened. 'Akaashi. Like, my best friend Akaashi. Just kissed my nose. Like, as what couples do. Wow.. does he have feelings for me? That'd be lucky for me.' He was lost in thought, and didn't even notice Akaashi came back, two drinks in hand. "Bokuto-san? You alright?" Bokuto jumped up, startled. "Yeah, I'm sorry! Guess I got lost in thought.." Akaashi gave him a small smile. "No worries, it's okay." It got to where it was a comfortable silence, them just drinking their beverages and stealing glances at each other, when all of a sudden Bokuto set his drink down and turned to Akaashi. "Wanna dance again?? I think I might be able to handle your prettiness this time." Akaashi let out a small laugh, and nodded his head. "Of course, Bokuto-san."

Bokuto practically dragged Akaashi to the dance floor, ecstatic. He had an idea. He calmed down, twirling 'Kaashi in circles like a Disney prince. They danced through the night, stopping only to get refreshments and food. They were on their last dance of the night, when Bokuto twirled him for the final time that night. He pulled Akaashi close, and whispered in his ear, "You know, you look familiar." Akaashi whispered back, "Oh, how so?" The owl pulled his head away from Akaashi's ear to look him in the eyes. "You look like my future boyfriend." Akaashi laughed, just a small one, but it was there. He wrapped his arms around Bokuto's neck as Bokuto wrapped his arms around Akaashi's waist. He looked up, with a blush and a smile. and whispered, "I hope you know, these lips won't kiss themselves, Bo." Bokuto smirked, and pulled him into a dip. Where they had their first kiss as a couple.

~Extra~

Kuroo and Kenma were watching from the side of the dance floor, Kuroo's arm wrapped around Kenma's waist. Kuroo smirked down at Kenma, "Took them long enough, eh?" Kenma looked up at the rooster, with a small smile. "Yeah, no kidding. Only took us 7 years." They continued watching in a comfortable silence, the pride now radiating off of Kuroo and Kenma. All in a day's work.
