Jonah's POV
"Excuse me? Mr Jonah? Did you hurt my daddy?" Issa asked me as we ate dinner. "No Issa.. Your daddy hurt me but I didn't hurt him. I promise." I smiled, grabbing my glass of water and taking a sip.
"Daddy, Issa and I are done. Can we go play on the iPads now?" I looked at Tate who just sighed. "Go ahead girls." I responded with a smile. The two girls jumped up from their seats and ran into the living room. "Dad, after tonight, Issa has to go home. Her dad is the legal guardian. We have to go to the police." Madison spoke.
"I know.. We'll go to the station tomorrow to report it. Issa will have to give a statement though.. I don't know how comfortable she'll be about that.." I responded, putting my fork down. "Mom, I think we should take her in for a while. And, if we can't- maybe Uncle Daniel and Kaitlyn could! It would be good for Carrie to have somebody to hang out with." I looked at Tate and gave her the look to explain it.
"Mads, that is a great idea but normally when the cops take away a child that's being abused, they normally put said child into a foster home. But, if I can convince the police- I'll try and have her either here, or with Jack and Gabbie. Kaitlyn cannot care for another child. You know how she is with Carrie. Daniel also wouldn't want another kid in the house because of Kaitlyn. But Gabbie and Jack would love another child for a bit."
"I love that idea. I love you guys. Can I be excused?" I nodded and she ran to her room.
"We have such caring daughters.." Tate smiled, to which I agreed.
