After the whole held at gunpoint event, Tracy and I decide to get ready to leave the party.

I grab some of the snacks that are laid out around the kitchen area and I also grab a can of soda.

Tracy walks up to me and leans onto the counter.

"You ready to go?"

I sigh and nod my head.

"Whenever you're ready!" Tracy grabs the items from my hand. "I'm also ready."

"We can go now then."

We make our way to my car, but on the way out, we pass Lonzo and LiAngelo.

"If you guys see LaMelo tell him to call me, please." I make eye contact with Lonzo and he just nods his head at me.

"Bye Gelo." Tracy states with a wink.

She opens her arms for a hug and LiAngelo gives her a side hug.

"Catch ya later, shawty." As they break the hug, LiAngelo slides his hand along Tracy's arm and into her hand. He holds it there and flashes Tracy a smile which she returns.

"Don't forget to tell LaMelo!" I state one last time before we walk out of the door and into my car.

I put my keys into the ignition and start the car.

"You feeling better?"

Putting the car in reverse, I back out of the driveway and clear my throat.

"I'm fine, just a bit worried about LaMelo."

Tracy stays silent for a couple of minutes and by the time she answers, I'm on a Main Street.

"He'll be fine, LaMelo's a lucky one. He finds himself in trouble and always gets out of it."

My mind is racing.

My eyes are burning.

They're burning so bad that the headlights from the car behind me are obstructing my vision, making it hard for me to see.

And to make matters worse, I can feel the tears brimming up on the corner of my eyes.

"Daya, you seem a little disoriented. Do you wanna pull over?"

"I'm fi-"

A sharp shrieking noise pierces our ears.

"Daya!" Tracy yells as she reaches across me and yanks the wheel away from a car that's in front of us.

"Fuck!"

The car spins repeatedly until we crash into a tree.

My head hits the steering wheel and soon after, a ringing noise finds its way to my ears.

"Tray- trac..." I attempt to speak. "A-are you..."

I look through the cracked windshield and see smoke coming from the engine.

We have to get out of here...

"Tracy, we-."

Tracy is unconscious against the passenger seat.

"We have to-,"

Darkness fills the air.
